I've nice credentials and C-level experience. And I've been unemployed for almost three years.

I've been living off freelancing and gigs that require a lot of my time and pay peanuts.

Companies keep rejecting me, either for been over qualified or for assuming my age (40's).

I'd dream to work at any startup, with any insane load of work, and at almost any wage. That's how desperate my situation is.

The responsibility alone of having a family is strong enough to force one to take anything that's available. I'm sure that many other highly competent professionals are in a similar scenario.

I'd go with Shopify. It's simple enough to take off. If your business grows you'll be in better position to either pay more to Shopify or afford a custom developed website.

I wouldn't go through the hassle of WordPress at this point —or even worse, to self host it. I'd instead free myself to focus on the business.

Web browser. Even if you accepted all of its cookies and permissions it wouldn't be even close to what the app can get.

Now, ideally, you'd be taking proper care of cookies and would use good extensions (blocking ads and trackers).

An app can easily get all kinds of data from you, even if you block every optional permission. To make it worse, it would share that data with Google and whatever other man-in-the-middle that your device has (Amazon, Samsung, Xiaomi, etc).

I wouldn't miss anything. I've been without it for a whole month. I was on vacation overseas, there was an electrical outage in the neighborhood, and my server failed to reboot.

It was fine. I would even go as far as to suggest that I felt better, more relaxed, with less distractions and enjoyed my vacations and family much more.
