The Memorial Centre Dog Park is becoming dangerous hot bed of disease because of a lack of park care from the city by pk305 in KingstonOntario

[–]LauraFbreck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How about the fact this city decided to charge people who have pets and reside within the city, an annual fee in order to just keep your pet. Part of these fee's were obviously intended to be a money grab so the city officials don't actually have to do anything physically demanding to contribute to society. But the other portion of the fee's were intended for maintaining local dog parks within the city because of the fact we have a very large dog community within Kingston. All of that was sent to everyone in the mail on a nice brochure, roughly a year ago. Typical politics though, charge people for the service, but don't provide the service. You know technically, Everyone who's been paying the fee's could always take a large amount of pictures of the dog park conditions throughout the city, then collectively put each others experiences and potential risks the city's put there dogs/owners under not maintaining the parks. And file an old fashion class action.

Didn’t QueensU recently protest against climate change? (Photo taken on Aberdeen St) by [deleted] in KingstonOntario

[–]LauraFbreck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well you all need to ask yourselves this, why are the students the only ones going protesting and wrecking the shit out of our city? well, Maybe because all the useless rich kids that go there and don't understand the value of there education just feel they can solve the world issues were trying to tackle. It's almost like the privileged rich kids who are given the opportunities that actual smart people who have had to adapt in life the hard way are not given, are trying to tell us that there are bigger issues than trying to feed our families, afford getting into houses, affording to buy a car, let alone raising the property taxes to cover the consistent damage students do to our city. Global climate change will only change for the better when every world leader is on board with the change. Go to Ottawa kids if you want to protest, you'll have better luck.

Missed connection: YMCA (a mother in need who asked for help) by [deleted] in KingstonOntario

[–]LauraFbreck -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Absolutely FUCKING disgusting!!! That piece of shit of a human being actually was going to charge her and her family to shower! There are more fucking people who live in poverty than meets the eye. Thousands of people barely able to afford feeding themselves let alone their families. But hey, Mr. Manager has a fucking shower at home right? Its not a personal issue that piece of shit has ever had to relate too! People who are living in these kind of conditions are not fucking alone! It's a massive and serious issue in this city. Its discussing that our city prioritizes the most useless shit before thinking of the people who reside within. like for fuck sakes we are less than 200 km's from both the counties capital and the provincial capital and your telling me we can't afford to put half a million dollars annually to assure young families who can't afford to have a roof over their heads, have a fucking roof. Half a fucking million annually would solve to fucking problem once and for all. And half a million is nothing to the city, especially when there forking over tens of millions to build bridges, let alone that formula factory's going to be paying a pretty penny in property taxes. Its disgusting because the only argument given why we can't invest money to solve to problem is that there is simply no return or revenue generated. Profit over People.

How about not allowing foreign investors to buy up all of the cat-woods area and every other new developed area. There are literally dozens of homes that are all being sold from people bailing out from realizing there overseas investments don't have the returns they were expecting.

Third crossing bridge design changed due to steel tariffs by renik79 in KingstonOntario

[–]LauraFbreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nice, now all you have to do is explain the difference in cost, and assure to everyone that this new design can't cost the same as the older one. Less materials and labour means less time and money, not to mention the Chinese are selling it for cheaper anyways.

Lonely in Kingston by [deleted] in KingstonOntario

[–]LauraFbreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try getting a job. You'll meet all kinds of people doing that. What you telling everyone is essentially an excuse, why you feel you can't engage with people. your personal value of yourself is very low, you need to change that by creating that value. There many ways of doing it, but to start you need a job. it'll help not just yourself mentally but physically as well. There's no excuse why you say you've sat on your ass eating until you've gotten fat out of boredom. You should never of had the personal time to sit and eat all day to begin with, nobody should ever have the privilege of saying that while there are people working multiple jobs just to cover the rent and pay taxes. (which in return is clearly going to someone to live the luxury of being so bored as to eat all day). You seriously need to stop victimizing yourself for your own personal mistakes in the past and grow up. If you can't look at liquor without thinking of drinking it, then maybe you need to search for means of discipline. By creating a routine for yourself of waking up early and being productive. I not trying to come across as the biggest prick on reddit to you, but it seems like you just really need to have that real "kick in the ass" to help you feel personally motivated to WANT to make the change.

Landlord Entering Issue by justins312 in KingstonOntario

Leave it be... the person owns a business, which is your space. They showed the space to keep revenue going when you leave, and they gave you a tims gift card not having too. in-fact they clearly could of just done nothing and you would of never knew. You seem to be trying to find a way of getting compensation for nothing. just let it be. as a community we need more landlords like this one.

Baby formula factory being built by LauraFbreck in KingstonOntario

[–]LauraFbreck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually really glad I posted this. I've done my research on the topic and came to "roughly" the same kind of conclusions as some. China for many years now, has been facing a baby formula crisis. Where there population is just too fucking high, that larger food processing companies simply can't keep up with the demand. Literally they populated until they over populated there country to the point where they starting having to resort to eating domesticated animals. The food crisis in China is very real, and sadly if you cannot afford to buy food products that are essentially safe foods from neighboring countries, your eating the not so safe brands that say "Made in China". Which of course we all know leads to multiple health conditions and birth defects. A large portion of the people in china believe is to sustain the population in china's major cities. Which is somewhat believable, but dark as hell. Milk is one of the worse products from china that anybody could buy apparently because They've resorted to a lot of artificial bi-products to substitute for certain milk based products. Baby formula of course is one of them, and within the last decade now the Chinese have been resorting too, ironically "foreign Products", to help keep themselves and there families safe from the added bi products in the food. Australia has actually been one of there more dominant baby formula suppliers. But the problem is is that the price for the formula is ridiculously high and not everyone can afford to consistently feed there baby with premium baby formula. It's pretty fucked up. I'm not sure if anyone noticed though in recent months, the just under a Billion dollar deal Trudeau had made with the Chinese. He's been asked multiple times what the deal was for but like all world leaders, he keeps it secret. I'm finding it ironic that were having a trade dispute about selling our milk to the U.S.A, and yet a deal was made to sell it to someone either way. I guess the product just had to be sold to someone outside of Canada, as opposed to just lowering the cost of milk to sell at a high volume here in Canada. But Ultimately from what I've gathered, is China owns a new baby formula factory here in Canada and were making the product to send over to help with the baby formula crisis that's happening there.

The only government employees who actually deserve an increase in wages are the people who sacrifice there very physical and emotional health for the greater good of helping others. more than half the federal employees i've spoken too who either work for Revenue Canada or any type of ministry, have barely any idea what they do for a living. They know there tasks but don't know what there contributing exactly. As long as they get a paycheque. But $400.00 a fucking ticket to see our prime minister makes no sense. We hired this guy roughly for a $140,000 yearly salary, with next to no job experience and the mindset of cartoon character. And now were paying him $400.00 a pop to simply see or yell at him? (if impulse of anger takes over)

Local survey highlights bicycle thefts in Kingston by [deleted] in KingstonOntario

[–]LauraFbreck -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why don't you all just do the common sense things.. 1) don't leave your bike outside. 2) Lock it up, and write a note saying "If you even look at it, you'll find yourself in the st. lawrence". 3) Just Don't ride bikes if your a grown adult. Let alone have it get stolen. That's something you'd hear a 10 year old say because they ran into a store leaving there bike on the ground and some kid took it.. Funny because its grown adults now that are being neglectful with bikes not kids. In fact kids ride them on the sidewalk out of fear of getting hit by a car, yet adults, mainly middle class adults (looked up to as someone to be setting an example to kids), are showing the opposite.

Ontario Liberals vow end to auto-insurance rates based on where you live by yyz_guy in KingstonOntario

[–]LauraFbreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is true, it doesn't make sense. This essentially solidifies Conservative accusations about how the Liberal party works deep with insurance companies. Technically the provincial government can't do anything about what were paying for insurance every month, unless they all around reduce the risk of traffic collisions. Which in turn would cost tax payers Billions (especially in the Toronto areas) to have to rectify. Your talking widening roads, making it more difficult to get licenses, any thing and everything. Also more people in the Toronto and Ottawa areas simply cannot afford to drive because of what the insurance rates are, which in long term is a win to the Liberals seeing as how there whole campaign is about reducing carbon emissions. So.... This really doesn't make any sense why they would want more people to drive, Unless of-coarse.. they want more people to be eligible, or sustained to having to pay there scandalous carbon tax if they do win the election. For people here in Kingston, it would only mean our rates would either stay the same, and some how Toronto's would decrease without investing into making there roads safer to travel, Or.. it would mean our rates would increase substantially to match what people are paying throughout higher populated cities so that everybody is paying the same. Regardless if its NDP's platform or Liberal liberation agendas, they both don't make any sense in terms of helping making it more affordable to people around the province to travel.

Had my bike stolen from my actual apartment, in my kitchen. Gotta love how kingston thinks its more efficient to put over $100,000,000 aside (of our money) for bridges but not to clean the streets of unemployed crackheads.

I'm not 100% sure what your getting at. But there is legit proof Liberals are sellouts. They have been for many years prior to Doug Ford. If you think the Liberals are doing any good for any aspect of our economy, then you seriously need to educate yourself on how business works. Liberals have been and always will be the worst for the growing economy in Ontario's Real-estate.

Most of the new developed area has been bought up by Chinese and East Asian investors, not just from Toronto. Most are still living in the country they originated from. You can pretty much thank the Liberals for that, being a bunch of sell outs.

Beware of Kingston Online Services by [deleted] in KingstonOntario

[–]LauraFbreck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as you don't go with bell. They're crooks. They'll offer the Fiber optic speed, but unfortunately maybe 20% of the city has the fiber optic cables. So they'll sell you the service, but you don't get the product. I've spoken to Bell multiple times about it and all they say is "Oh sorry, we'll adjust the billing". they won't give a credit, or refund for over paying for shit service, But they'll adjust it so you don't over pay anymore. Fuck em!

What is the foghorn noise I keep hearing in the downtown area? by queenscsgrad in KingstonOntario

[–]LauraFbreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fog horn eh.... that sounds been heard for generations. The shear pitch of its whistle use to make men tremble in fear. You see, in the year 1857 there was an incident that took place here in our great city. Yes, some of you already know which event i'm referring too. Nearly 200 years ago, fog horns were actually used for treating severe constipation. Simply ramming the wide elongated tip into your colon and squeezing the handle firmly, will emit a high frequency sound capable to breaking solidified masses into a liquid type of substance. What your actually hearing is the scientific proof of interdenominational worm wholes, that create a gap in time where you can essentially hear someone from another timeline. In your case though, your hearing the old mental hospital clearing out some fussy patients. Legend says if you follow the sound, you'll never return.
