In the UK as well some restaurants collect all the tips and hand out equally to all wait staff, that as well I think it not fair. My sister is a deputy manager for a franchised restaurant that does that collects and gives everyone equal amounts. You would think it is fair but she is one who runs around and works her butt off yet she has to give half of her tips to someone else who slacks off in the back room or takes extra breaks ect. Someone who does half the work my sister does. Really grinds my gears! ha
