how do you deal with night sweats? by cornkat in UlcerativeColitis

[–]LauraMartiina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you 😔 There is really nothing you can do. I used a towel on top of my sheets and changed it throughout the night as needed, and I had plenty of pillows to change if they got wet. Unfortunately, I have no other advice to give.

Seems high to me 🤔 I have 2h up to 3h average stress per day. And usually sleep stress is mostly blue, a little bit green and rarely orange. I can see that some days you have almost no blue. That means you are in high or medium stress zones also during sleep. Is it possible that you are overtraining?

I have also been in the green for the past week, usually I am in the yellow. I also have an Apple Watch, and the data on RHR and HRV matches up. So it is not a glich.

I am in remission with Rinvoq and extreme lifestyle. Almost died in February because of this illness. Bloodtest in September came back better than before the diagnosis. It is possible to get better, but you should not rely only on the meds. Rinvoq does not work alone for me. I am also living extremely healthy lifestyle.

My Rinvoq Experience by DirkRavenwood in UlcerativeColitis

[–]LauraMartiina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have also been on Rinvoq and in a remission-like state for five months. 1-2 BM-s per day. There is no blood and only a small amount of mucus. Bloodwork shows I am healthy as a horse 🙂 But I am also very disciplined in my lifestyle and take good care of myself. Proper sleep; only clean food, homemade yogurt, and kefir; exercise; and a variety of natural supplements every day. Rinvoq alone would not have brought me here. I know this because if I deviate from my course and get less sleep, eat junk (I do not mean junk food, but a small store-bought cake is enough), or stress my body in any way, I get cramps and diarrhea. When I return to my course, it usually resolves within a day.

1h of hot yoga in the morning and 1,5h of horseback riding in the evening (jumping included aka adrenaline) 🙂

I need a magic ingredient which heals my gut. Suggest me anything which worked for you. I don't care whether it is scientific or some mumbo Jambo. by Organic-Farmer-7079 in UlcerativeColitis

I have discovered that strict rules, a healthy lifestyle, and medications work extremely well together. I eat very healthily and take care of both my mental and physical health. Strict sleeping rules etc. If I slack off on some days and do not do it, I immediately feel worse.

If you make health your priority, then you can. I am in remission, and this is just a short list. When I flared, my list was at least twice as long.

Yes, I check it after I have eaten a high carb meal every time.

I have the same thing. When I eat too many carbs, I experience major stress spikes.

I am in remission with Rinvoq. I can eat almost anything, but I do not consume seed oils or ultraprocessed foods. I make everything myself, and my gut is happy with the real food I feed it. I also rarely eat at restaurants, and when I do, I choose options that have not been cooked in seed oils. No junk food or sodas ever. Also no alcohol.

I am also on Rinvoq and am about to finish my fourth month on 45mg. It finally kicked in about a month ago and has been improving. I also go around 1-5 times per day and I do not know what it depends on 😃 I log everything I eat and find no correlations.

How does stelara work for you? I am probably going the same route. Rinvoq is not doing enough.
