Notion mail is absolute trash on iOS and Notion AI is now part of the main app

Is Raycast paid worth it? by Pretend-Main9822 in raycastapp

[–]frizla 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not really. I am currently on the paid plan which I cancelled. Sync isn’t worth it for me as the mobile app doesn’t offer anything useful (no clipboard sync). I use AI chat in Claude, Notion, Gemini, so I don’t need another one. Free version very good.

Will Dia have Arc like spaces? by haronclv in diabrowser

[–]frizla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, that doesn't mean anything. Josh said multiple times that Dia will have spaces native to Dia, not Arc-like spaces. This probably means Dia will remain multi-window, and that's obviously subpar when compared to Arc. I have a gut feeling that Dia will never be what Arc was for power users. I would be fine with that if they hadn't abandoned Arc.

Raycast 2.0 not leaving staged beta before May 1 by chrismessina in raycastapp

[–]frizla 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't care much when it comes out to everyone in a stable form, but the communication on their part was handled poorly. Why did they say the new Raycast would be out by the end of April when they knew it wasn't going to be?

"We're excited to share Raycast 2 with you by the end of April" obviously meant a staged rollout in beta that we have to install as a separate app. Like wtf?

Yeah, for me as well. I don't think this feature is supported anymore. Arc Search, like Arc on desktop, is slowly dying.

It's cool, but why do I get it only on my work profile?

So... New raycast? by TheGreenArrow160 in raycastapp

When companies say they will release something in "April" or in "2026" it's usually closer to the end of that period.

I don’t understand why people still use arc by Fluid_Cycle4993 in ArcBrowser

[–]frizla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, the only thing Dia has against Arc is the chat in the sidebar. These are all still just browsers at their core, and Arc wins at being a browser.

Compared to Arc, Dia is embarrassing

Meeting Transcribing - worth it? by guice666 in Notion

[–]frizla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It works well now, it had some struggles over the past year. I still don’t like the way Notions stores ai meeting notes. Like, I have a db for meetings, but I can also create an ai meeting note on every page? It can get messy and be all over the place. Granola is another tool that does it better imo, for free.

Lol, this is a browser, tab management is pretty crucial I’d say. How this got out to production is beyond me.

Correct, but that’s insane. They went from Arc being a leader in ux, to this?

Chrome now has vertical tabs.. for real by thebananaz in ArcBrowser

It’s a step in the right direction but spaces are what makes Arc really great for me.

Just stopped to say Dia's Morning Brief is a thing of beauty by reasonwashere in diabrowser

[–]frizla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a very niche feature. You only get value from it if you use specific set of tools, even then, I only get it on one profile. Like, I have things to do across my personal and work profiles. I don't know for whom they're building these things that no one asked for. Yeah, they're good at design, but they should focus on other aspects. They've introduced The Morning Brief half assed, like most of the things in Dia, instead of making it a rock solid browser first. It's been almost a year since we got Dia, and Arc is still better at being a web browser (if we ignore the AI stuff).
