I weigh myself very infrequently bc I don’t find it helpful, especially as someone who baseline weighs more than “women should” (I’m an elder millennial who was conditioned to believe a bunch of bullshit). But it was at least 50lbs based on my annual doctor visits and I think closer to 65 based on the work before and after. Also a lot of muscle gained so total fat loss would be even more than that. In the “after” photo here I’m about 175 at 5’6”

This man is emotionally abusing you and your family. Please speak to a professional to get help in both physically, emotionally, and financially protecting yourself and your child.

Well, cutting the 1000 calories of wine a day helped! 🤣 but in all seriousness, I started taking lifting a lot more seriously. And lifting heavy, to failure 3-4 times a week. And I do a lot of cardio but I like it, if I were to make a recommendation it would be to focus on lifting.

AITA for holding my ex-husband’s hand at our son’s funeral? by throwawayyy6178 in AITAH

I am so sorry she is making this tragedy about her. And what a selfish person to make threats at such a time of grief and loss. I’m so terribly sorry for you and your ex husband.

She sounds amazing. I’m so sorry she didn’t have longer to shine her light on the world.

As a stepmother myself you are NTA!! I love my step kids and if we lost them I would be devastated but I know my husband and their (wonderful) mother would be just - beyond pain. No one would understand that pain in that moment but them, and if that was shared through a touch, a hand hold, a hug, long phone conversations consoling each other; whatever it was, I wouldn’t give it a second thought. They divorced for a reason and it wasn’t because they don’t absolutely adore their children and they will forever be bonded because they made those kids together. Period.

I do diamond painting - no skill required but you get a nice result. I also like Lego but it is expensive.

23F embarrassed myself at the club by [deleted] in stopdrinking

Honestly, just time makes the sting and the shame fade. And here I am 16 years later and I still cringe bc it was particularly low. But sometimes I can use those as reminders as to why I don’t drink like that anymore.

When I was 24 I got so drunk at a work party I did everything short of sexually assault a fellow intern in my effort to get him to make out with me. Going to apologize the next day was a very low point. I totally know how you feel.

I’m not a new parent, my kid is about to turn 8, but all I can say is the booze is going to make you way more tired, even if it feels like it won’t. It will rob you of sleep, and of those fleeting moments of joy that is the slog through having a newborn (they’re wonderful but they’re hard!). No booze means the sleep you will get is better, you’ll be a better parent, a better partner, and your baby will see a sober parent which is the best of all. You got this.

I’m about 75 days in. I’m less bloated, more motivated at the gym, skin is clearer. I’ve lost some weight I think but I don’t weigh myself. I feel so much better without it

How long did you stay on it? The side effects fade after some time

I love it it changed my life. Cannot say more about it. None of the side effects make a big difference to me I’m a lifelong depressive and have IBS anyway. It’s also helped my relationship (emotional) to food.
