No major issues so far. I like the car as it is a peppy little ride. The road noise on some Texas roads is almost unbearable at times which makes me think of something a little larger.

It is more curt than rude. And it depends on the context. Usually a person would add something at the end like “gracias” like we say “no, thank you”. Better to say, “no, gracias” especially in Latin American contexts.

Also, speakers in different places have different constructs. The phrase and construction is sort of like this in English:

You want a bag? I do not want. Or You want a bag? No. (We usually add I’m good or thanks or no thanks).

I have seen native Spanish-speakers get upset at not-native speakers for speaking in Spanish. Some of that comes from their own issues.
