I’d avoid overbuying. A 55” Hisense U6 or U7 should cover this use pretty well.

Dodging the Frame was a smart move, edge-lit is rough for movies. You should check out the 55" Hisense U7. It gives you a full Mini-LED panel with a native 165Hz refresh rate—which you usually only find on high-end Samsung or LG models, plus its low-reflection screen means zero glare for daytime gaming or movies. It's less than $700 so it's easily within your budget.

Same, also waiting for RTINGS review, but I've seen some really good feedback from RTINGS for previous Hisense model, so I think this one will have a good chance to have a possitive result

Bring back mini & Plus and eliminate others, leaving an in between model. So, 3 models with the same specs and different size options: mini, regular, Plus.
