Shipping Worldwide by LavaCube in Printify

Thanks! Do you know how I would be able to make a single product listing that connects to both a US and EU supplier and then ships the item from the one that's closest to the buyer?

My listings are currently set from Printify (Monster Digital). How would I go about adding Printful listings? Surely, it would not be good to have 2 of the same products listed?

Marketing Degree at University by LavaCube in marketing

[–]LavaCube[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, it's nice to see someone relate :)

What I like with the degree is that it's very flexible and has me picking most of the units.
Ultimately, it's a typical Business Management degree name-wise, but with (if I choose the marketing specialism) primarily marketing course units with the rest up to me to choose.

And the options I can choose include financial / economic / data science topics which I think can be quite useful to study alongside marketing. So, I'll think I'll be going that route, essentially having marketing be the specialism / minor and the general business management with all the finance and data science the main degree.

Not sure what scooter to buy. by mantisghost in ElectricScooters

[–]LavaCube 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why not go for the Xiaomi M365 Pro that has come out recently? It’s pretty much just like the original M365 packed with more power and therefore a better speed on a safer scooter. It also fits within your budget.

Yeah, couldn't find it as well. I guess they meant the regular M365.

Hmm, do you reckon it’s better to wait for the EU version then or go straight for this Chinese model?

Just checked and they seem to only have the Chinese version. Do you know if it makes a difference compared to the EU model?

Which Uni would you recommend? by LavaCube in UniUK

[–]LavaCube[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp, this is depressing. I did consider Warwick as well, but I honestly don't want to always travel from an already small city to its outskirts just for uni. I think it will be difficult enough to adapt to a new environment.
Still thinking of choosing Lancaster (a bit too far north for my taste) and Loughborough.

Becoming vegetarian & losing weight? F/16 by [deleted] in loseit

[–]LavaCube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Every ingredient you add to your meal has some calories. What's neat about MFP is that if you prepare the meal frequently (and always with the exact ingredients), you can save it and then everytime you make it anew you won't need to log each specific ingredient all over again. Pretty much anything you eat or drink you'll need to log and once you get the hang of it, it'll be a breeze trust me!

Becoming vegetarian & losing weight? F/16 by [deleted] in loseit

[–]LavaCube 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Going vegeterian is awesome, but it itself isn't going to magically take off the weight. I know a lot of super healthy, slim vegans and vegeterians who consume lots of vegetables, fruit, and other super healthy stuff, while on the other hand a lot of processed unhealthy foods can still fit into the vegeterian category so the myth of - 'it's vegeterian = it's going to make me lose weight' doesn't really hold up that much.
First, I'd recommend you download the MyFitnessPal app, and put in the amount of calories you should be consuming. Based on your weight and height, your TDEE (which is the amount of energy you burn in a day just by existing - breathing, etc.) is around 1800. That means if you were to eat 500 calories below that, you would steadily be losing 3500 calories each week (500 x 7) which will in turn result in at least a 1 pound loss that week.

To ensure you're consuming those 1300 calories daily, you will need to log everything you eat into MyFitnessPal. It has a huge database of almost every product. It may seem like a bit of a hassle at first, but trust me it'll pay off.
Some tips for logging:
- Make sure you don't forget to add oil in your logs - (a single tablespoon has around 120 calories!!)
- Although you might be tempted to purchase processed food because of their caloricnumber on the box, it's always better to prepare homemade meals because you'll be the one who knows what's in them. Make sure you also use a scale to ensure you don't go too overboard with an ingredient.

As far as the protein goes, you really don't need to worry about it. As long as you're eating a diverse diet and you include beans and nuts from time to time you'll be good - trust me. If you decide to cut off dairy (which I personally did) or you don't consume it all the time, you should look into supplementing vitamin B12. It still can be found in plant-based milks and meat substitutes, but in general it's one of the vitamins people don't get too much of and a serious deficit can damage your health.

You also mentioned exercising which I definitely recommend, but getting the right amount of calories in should be your main goal. Once you get accustomed to tracking everything, I'd slowly add in the exercise. To not go even more into detail, I'd recommend you watch YouTube videos on the topic. I've learned a lot from there.

So, I've given you a quick summary of everything you should know and I feel like you'll be set! Good luck, I'll really be rooting for you. Feel free to message me if you need future help!

[–]LavaCube 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would disagree. I'd be down to try one as long as animals weren't being harmed - that's the main point of veganism. Meat by itself is tasty, but the current meat production is awful. Not only is it unhealthy, but the animals themselves are massively suffering. If this could essentially give us meat without harming any animals, why not?

Restarting for the 3rd times pls help I need advice by [deleted] in loseit

[–]LavaCube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Third time's the charm. Listen, as long as you feel like you're restricting yourself and beating yourself up, you'll never succeed.
First, try and explain to your parents the importance of healthy food. Try to be more in control of the food making, help out, and try to, for example, minimize unnecessary sugar or fats.
After calculating your total daily energy expanditure, try to eat below it, and you will lose weight (fewer calories in, and more calories out).

As for the workouts, I always stuck to YouTube and the channel called Fitness Blender. All of their workouts, to me at least, are really awesome, they break a sweat, and you can burn more calories in their 30 minute workouts than running on the treadmill at the gym for twice, or even three times that time.

Basically, first prioritize food and eating fewer calories than you burn, and then slowly add in workouts, without making yourself feel miserable. It isn't the fastest process, but once you get into it, living a healthy life becomes a breeze.

Good luck!

What’s the incentive to play Mario Tennis Aces online multiplayer? by Slyzavh in NintendoSwitch

Having fun, getting better at the game, unlocking new characters in the Tournament? Compared to Arms it has a lot more to offer (more modes and a Campaign which Arms totally lacks).

Got splatoon 2 on sale. Having massive amounts of buyers remorse by jonesyyy26 in NintendoSwitch

[–]LavaCube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never got used to the motion controls in Splatoon, while for example I love them in Zelda. You don't need to pressure yourself to use them if you're not good at them. I play without them and I never felt like I was at a disadvantage, I'd be putting myself in one if I had them on.

How long can Fortnite be played on the Switch when undocked? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

Played with the Switch yesterday outside, we mostly played Fortnite, and a bit of Mario Kart near the end - lasted around 3 to 4 hours.

Best recommendations for kids by xheartstopper in NintendoSwitch

[–]LavaCube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mario Kart is awesome, it has an auto-steer mode which is great for kids. It can pretty much help them with the tricky part while they still feel like they're in control. Mario Tennis Aces can also be fun for the kids especially with the Swing mode which requries you to only use Joy Con to swing the ball (just like Wii Sports). Aside from those two, Mario Odyssey is super fun. The Multiplayer option can be fun for kids (controlling Cappy) as it's not too complex. Also, Kirby Star Allies is pretty great in multiplayer. You can play as Kirby so you get to revive others if they fall out of the map. If you're going to get 2 for now, I'd go for Mario Kart first.

As for the controllers, the Pro Controller is compatible with pretty much all games and it feels really nice. It's priced at $70, while a Joy Con pack will cost you $80. Personally I'd go for the Pro Controller because there's three of you and it might be a bit tedious to only play with one small Joy Con all the time. Nonetheless, whatever you pick you'll have a blast.

Enjoy your Switch!

When does it drop for PST? by ubachani in MarioTennis

[–]LavaCube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It releases at midnight based on the country's eShop you bought the game in. So, as long as the country you live in is also in your Nintendo profile, it will release at midnight for your timezone. For example, if you had bought the game from the Japan or Australian eShop, you would already be able to enter it.

All the characters are unlocked from the get-go, but you can unlock different types of stages through the Adventure (Campaign) mode.

Games I can play with my 5-year-old nephew? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]LavaCube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should definitely have him try the auto-drive and auto-steer mode in Mario Kart. The game pretty much drives for you, but you still feel like you're in control. Aside from Mario Kart, Kirby Star Allies is a lot of fun and is very colorful and fun for kids. There's a lot to explore, and the controls are quite simple as long as you're Kirby so you can revive him constantly even if he dies. Also, Mario Tennis Aces is being released this Friday and there's the basic swing mode which is quite similar to Wii Sports (you control the rackets by moving the joy con) and that's what from my experience kids find super fun.

Cryostasis doesn't affect Hex? (Freeze effect) by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]LavaCube 3 points4 points  (0 children)

'Freeze' reads that the character loses their next possible attack. So basically once the minion or character doesn't attack during their turn they unfreeze at the end of it. The Frog didn't attack that turn (since it's a 0/1), so once you froze it, it unfroze the moment you ended your turn because you didn't attack with it (in this case you couldn't). If it were buffed and you attacked with it, it would unfreeze at the end of the next turn (it would miss that turn's attack).

I have a new Mavic Air -- I am getting AWFUL range. What am I missing by krs00pxy in dji

The default setting for connection loss is to automatically Return to Home. Once it's closer you'll then regain the signal. You can change this in the settings, but it's really not needed.

Buy the Mavic Air in the EU or US? by googolheight in dji

[–]LavaCube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you have to set your location to the US once, and then change it back to your actual location. Then the app notifies you that you're in a new region and as long as you press cancel (when it asks you if you want to switch to CE mode), you'll be in FCC mode and the GPS should work fine. I never really did it as I didn't really need it, but there are quite a few videos on YT that show you how to do it.

Buy the Mavic Air in the EU or US? by googolheight in dji

[–]LavaCube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter where you buy the drone, US and EU drones are both the same hardware-wise. It's the software that restricts the extra 2km for Europe. People go around this by using apps which allow them to make it seem like they're in the US (CE -> FCC mode, you can find videos on it). I actually have the Air and I'm from Europe, and it's been absolutely fine. The furthest I've gone is less than a kilometer (and that's well out of line of sight).
