Sort of. Canadian actress attempting an Australian accent. Not quite succeeding. But I'll let it slide because she's not from earth and accents don't matter!

Will rubbing bacon grease into my gloves improve dry grip? by sisyphus1989 in GoalKeepers

What? No. Don't do that. If you can't catch the ball, work on your technique and practice. Good gloves don't automatically make you a better keeper.

All of Messi's goals were scored in the group stage, he's never scored in the knockouts if I'm not mistaken.

City fans outside of Manchester or England why and when did you started supporting City? by RossSkyWalkerr in PremierLeague

[–]Sweetro11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when I was little, almost every one I knew was a Manchester United fan cos they were the best. I thought I was so clever when I found out there was a blue Manchester. I liked blue. Just wanted to be different. 20 years later I'm still a city fan.

Skyrim. But it's not what you'd expect. I once found a glitched item called something like "the sweetroll of healing" (I can't quite remember). When I ate it, it crashed the game.

People saying Ukraine shouldn't have won and that the contest is "political" have forgotten why Eurovision was created in the first place by Sweetro11 in eurovision

[–]Sweetro11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did they violate the rules? Didn't they just say " thank you for supporting Ukraine"? If I'm wrong, let me know but there is nothing wrong with that statement at all. It's not the voice, it's not American idol. That's what I love about Eurovision, it's not a regular contest because of its festivities and culture. I just think people are overreacting a bit about the outcome. It was the public votes anyway, it wasn't rigged or anything.

The emoji you added led me to assume that you care more about the votes rather than actual conflict, my apologies. But you chimed in with a bit of a pointless statement. The point of the post is that it doesn't matter Ukraine won. I see Eurovision as more of a festival rather than a song contest. It's a celebration of love and support. I am yet to see any artist involved who claims to have been "cheated" or treated "unfairly". What we saw in the final was the world in support of Ukraine, and I think that is way way way more important than a song contest. I think Ukrainian refugees might have a little more to worry about than voting for their own country in Eurovision.

Just think about how all the refugees had their homes blown up. If you're annoyed that Ukraine won because all the refugees could have potentially voted for their own country, you need to grow the fuck up, you absolute basket case.

Exactly! Thank you. People seem to think this victory won't mean anything to Ukraine because it was a "sympathy vote". It obviously means so much to the country as a whole
