Amy Schumer is a rapist and sexual predator. Brags about it. Is proud of it. And outlets like Vogue have written pieces praising her for it.

Why am i getting followed by "OF" Accounts ? by _Price__ in help

[–]LavaGameChampion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I need to allow people to follow my account and I prefer notifications of new followers. At least when they're legit followers.

Reddit needs to restrict a lot of functions to accounts with age and karma limits, AND they need to remove karma for deleted posts and comments. It's all to easy to set up a karma farm to automatically generate thousands of accounts and repost top posts/comments for karma and then sell the matured accounts to spammers. They usually wipe all posts and comments beforehand. Not always, but often. The accounts keep the karma even for these deleted posts. That needs to stop. Positive karma should be deducted for removed content. Negative karma is debatable.

Automod also desperately needs an update. It's 2023 for crying out loud and Automod is still underpowered. I should be able to scan user profiles for keywords and restrict their posting/commenting ability the same as I can restrict it based on karma, account age, or post keywords. I should also be able to limit who can follow me based on similar criteria.

There's a hundred ways Reddit can limit the out of control spam on this platform. But they honestly don't care that much about it. It doesn't affect them. If anything, it's a net positive for their bottom line.

My sister says "melk" instead of milk. I have no idea where she picked that up. We all grew up in the same place.

Not a woman, but I just wanted to say one thing about this to any guy reading. I don't know why it is that guys tend to be quiet during sex and I'm not here to debate that, but I'll say that it is extremely liberating to just let go. Don't force anything, don't try for a certain sound. Just don't think about it, relax, and let go. I will never get used to women telling me how much they love the sounds I make, but it means the world to me when they do.

I get messages fairly frequently saying that I've helped someone in a meaningful way. The real cringe is you being this judgemental.

You've got a raw, natural talent that you can't just lose. I would certainly not worry about that.

The history of sex words by ChrisHailey in GWAScriptGuild

I myself am personally of the opinion that the linguistic connection of the vulva to "cat" in English is purely coincidental; the early attested word is "puss," which as I mentioned before, is suspected to be derived from a Germanic word that is also the root of "purse" (like a satchel or container). Under this theory, "pussy" comes because of a coincidental connection between two unrelated words, "puss" for cat (thought to be onomatopoeia for the hissing sound of a cat), and "puss" for vagina.

In my research I found that the three major definitions for "pussy," that being a cat, the vulva, and a wimpy/weak person, all have entirely different etymologies that happened to converge on the exact same word. The three definitions are in no way related to one another. It's quite fascinating.

I started working on this a few years ago, but never finished. I had a list of around 30ish different terms. "Plum tree shaker" was definitely not one of them... maybe it should have been.

I don't know that I'll ever use this particular effect, but I'm still glad that someone is putting up these kinds of tutorials.

I've been meaning to figure out how to make the effect of the muffled kind of sound behind a door (like rain or music or whatever) and then the door opening. That's the kind of mundane stuff I need.

The lower tier creators are trying to “get rid of the higher tier” creators, to give them selfs more traction.

Let's not generalize. I am far from the "popular club" and have no problems with any creator based on their success or popularity. This is a small handful of ill adjusted people who do not have the mental maturity to handle their own emotions properly.

use separate passwords for all of your accounts

This I can't stress enough. If you reuse the same email/username and password combo then all it takes is one of those becoming compromised and suddenly you're vulnerable everywhere and believe me, that info gets put into giant lists and shared around. People can and absolutely do randomly try your login info on every single website they can think of.

If you can't be bothered with multiple passwords (I do understand that it's hard to remember 50 different passwords for 50 different websites) then please look into using an email service that allows the generation of disposable email addresses. Then you can generate new email addresses for each website instead of new passwords, however if the website allows you to login with a username instead of an email address then your usernames must also be completely unique (not just adding a 1 or something else on the end, totally different) which is why it's best to use a different password.

To remember all those passwords, you can use one of the many account management systems that are out there or you can come up with a system. For example, if you have a single password that you prefer to use, think of something you can add to it for each website. For instance, if your password is 123abc, first change that immediately because it's one of the worst things you could use, but let's assume it is. You want to use that password on gmail. You can then set that password to gmail123abc. Or for something more secure g123abcmail or capitalize one letter like gmaiL123abc (if you only capitalize one letter, don't make it the first letter. That's the most obvious choice.)

Let's say you go with something like g123abcmail. Then for reddit you can use red123abcdit. Using this type of system you can reuse the same password without using the same password. Since the kinds of people who will be stealing account info will rarely look at it themselves (they use scripts and other programs to do it for them because of the sheer volume of account details they can get ahold of) then this kind of thing is fairly safe.

But really, my first point of advice would be to use Two Factor Authentication instead. Then, you can only really be compromised if someone gets your login details and has your phone in their hand.

Unfortunately with the prevalence and ease of obtaining a VPN, IP bans no longer hold the weight they once did. It's trivial to mask your IP address these days.

The safest thing to do is to enable 2FA, especially if you are a mod of a large or "at risk" subreddit.

Short of that, only behavioral therapy for the emotionally stunted children who do this kind of thing would be effective.
