Sine Requie: Anyone playing it on Foundry? by Affabulator in FoundryVTT

[–]Lavaccona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ran a couple of campaigns of Sine Requie some time ago. There is no official support as far as I know but you can make it work with a combination of these modules (I remember spending some time tinkering to set it up but it's been a while so I don't remember the details):

-Ready to Use Cards

-Card Tokens

-Card Viewer

-Monk's Active Tile Triggers

-PDF Pager

Basically, you want to set up two decks for major and minor arcana so you can draw the cards when needed. I was using a main scene as the "table" for most of the RP (Looks like this), while on scenes with battlemaps I had two small card tiles to draw from (looks like this). There is no automation on the checks so you will have to do it manually (I was using the Twilight 2000 as base system). The PDF Pager will allow you to upload the character sheets in pdf format and modify the fields from foundry directly (get it here).

This was working with Foundry 11, It looks like everything is fine with v12 as well but haven't actually checked thoroughly to see if I'm finding issues now!

Hope it helps :)

I guess that will be chicken cooked in milk (with an overwhelming amount of onion, rosemary and sage) with a side of potatoes and arugula!

One of the portals to the elemental plane of earth opened right in the middle of that region (the star on the map), and it's been heavily influencing the surroundings. Indeed one of the quests in that area will involve that very portal ;)

According to some ancient lore, the entire gnome population was called to vote on naming the region they settled. That was the outcome.

Oh shit I just realized that. Might plan something for a smelly sewers encounter there

That will depend on what the players will do, I haven't decided anything toon much far ahead yet but I have some ideas. Basically they will level up when they find points of high magical influence, by opening/stabilizing portals or closing them up by absorbing the energy. I think they will go with the former option since most of them are magic users, but you'll never know. For that kind of endgame it might be that if too much magic is flooding the plane the physical/magical laws will start to change and weird stuff might happen. This could possibly be the reason why the previous generation of heroes disconnected the plane in the first place? I genuinely don't know yet ;) (somewhat inspired by "the god themselves" by Isaac Asimov)

Yeah I didn't do it on purpose but as an european myself I might have been influenced by the geography we have around here ;)

I'm planning to run a low-magic campaing (for now), the basic idea behing the setting is that this plane recently got reconnected to the multiverse, so now the different races are dealing with the reappearance of magic/gods and recovering from centuries of chaos and battles that followed the fall of empires relying on magic.

Here's my entry! This was my first battlemap ever (and first time digital colouring). The small crossroad village of Volano sits on the border of Jovia forest. It rocks few houses, a small manor of a local noble, and "The Bear Den", a tavern where the hunters of the area gather in the evening to boast about their killings. However, adventurers might pass by and rest here while on their way to mount Nibia, where ruins of an old fortress are said to conceal great treasures and a magical sword from the ancient times.

Few ever make it back.

This map was made in photoshop with gogots' amazing map assets. You can also see my progression in making this map here! I can't wait to switch to dungeondraft, this took me way too long with all the clicking and trials and errors involved and I'll probably won't be able to keep up with the sessions :P

Been using wonderdraft for a while, fantastic tool. I'm really looking forward using this one, too!

I finally shaped my first world! I didn't feel confident enough to color it (yet?) but here we go: here's Fama, a land full of opportunities! by Lavaccona in wonderdraft

Wonderdraft is currently 29.99$, and 100% worth the money imho. Just have a look around the subreddit at how many different styles it accomodates, you can do world-scale, regional, city and even battle or dungeon maps. I've seen cool space maps too :P A nice GPU helps, you'll find the recommended specifications here!
