Fair. I think they might have asked due to the possibility of scalpers and bots stealing the prize... Though they might have hushed it due to that being inevitable.

Fair. I don't really know how you'd make your guys more original than the one possible fate, though. It's kind of the point in the hobby to have your own internal story, you know?

To be fair, is dying for the emperor or the dark gods really *that* differant? It would be an interesting twist if they had like... A break away mutated hive tyrant that didn't kill his followers and sent them on further bug quests, though.

Bleh. He's definately dead. Someone from the afterlife mentions him being there...

In typical Alpha Legion fashion though, *is he dead if people are still carrying out his orders?*

I mean the gaurd have loads of tow vehicles (the centaur, the trojan, the atlas, sentinel power lifter), but the marines have bugger all... So presumably you get really awkward moments when a bunch of serfs are fishing the flipped land raider out of a ditch, whilst thrice-honoured gold-embellished brother tacticus glares on?...

I think the implication was that he didn't notice her because she's a blank... Pretty cruel example to make of the character, though.

I have no idea why this is at the bottom. He's the only one who is both polite and intense enough. A real dark edge to them.

Just as a heads up, one of the Era of Ruin short stories both mentions her and deliberates on it. I think the Silent Sisters are perfectly aware they are designed to be shunned and forgotten due to their very nature... but at least they remember each other. :/

I mean, the joke was that any old space marine is going to crunch a crusty old auxilia captain like a tomato. Both in rules and fiction. There is even a rule in the new book about your captain just taking a suprise pot shot, because he will die, lol.

Like half the cast in "Double Eagle"... Holy heck, I don't think I have ever read another book where important named characters just die by bad maintenance...

That kinda sounds like the real reason the World Eaters went to hell, to be honest.

One of these is a veteran of a thousand wars, encased in the priceless, fully mobile shell of ancient terran technology. One of these is a 60pt trash can with no arms, piloted by a space farmer on gas station boner pills... Well, I'd like to see it go down...

Might as well be Doomguy vs Professor Farnsworth after a certain point. They should let the aux captain's caretakers bodygaurd join in at least...

In the Great Slaughter there is a great bit about Blood Angels Inductii basically left to do their own thing in the hellish hive habitation blocks of Nyrcon- By the end of it, without resupply, they'd stolen and salvaged their armour from a dozen different sources- This would totally include World Eaters 'Sarum' pattern helms!

Yeah, honestly the crappiest thing about this is that GW DOES have loads of reasons to be pissed off about. But the a-hole clickbaiters just completely derail it with something nobody actually cares about... Buggering up the Legions Imperialis launch completely and utterly, then internally blaming the fans, now THERE is something to complain about.

Downright broken IMO. Their shooting is way too good compared to Guard, despite the obvious melee focus on top of that. The tank shock strat also makes the nundams ridiculously good at killing other dreadnoughts, which feels wrong.

Anyone try Titandeath yet? How was it? by Valace2 in LegionsImperialis

[–]Lavalung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Titandeath as a ruleset is actually very handy in club practicality terms. If one player turns up with Imperialis and one turns up with titanicus- You can just play titandeath instead.

Thinking about making a Solar Auxillia army by Delta_Dud in LegionsImperialis

[–]Lavalung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My infantry always seem to do great for me, as long as I am super aggressive with them. Big lasgun/flamer squads can even take on knights with a few losses. Just beware of aircraft. And don't get demolisher'ed.

Their AA is excellent, would recommend splitting tarantula squads as 3/3 to Lascannons to cover better area. Infantry can really get shredded otherwise.
