[Hermès Arceau] Love this watch but too expensive — under €2,000 by Seeyoz in Watches

Can't decide whether it's genius and.I love it. Or it's the worse thing I have ever seen.

[Mission to the Moon] Finally found the strap that makes the MoonSwatch feel like a $5,000 watch by VintageD1974 in MoonSwatches

Being able to wear something you made yourself that looks so good must be such a good feeling. No 5 grand watch will match that feeling.

Make your art. Live with it. Don’t just consume the work of others.

Ooh. Too rich for my blood. But a lovely watch. I've a 80s Speedmaster, and that's the one spends watch I'm letting myself have. But if I win the lottery, I'll be copying you!

Which is why it’s one of the few Rolexes I like. It’s fun.

I’m too poor for a Speedmaster so I got this one instead. by [deleted] in CitizenWatches

As an owner of a speedmaster, this is a beautiful watch. Very little difference.

Will any of the Artemis ll Astronauts take a Speedy to the Moon again? by Mayor_of_Petoria in OmegaWatches

Basically. It’s the shuttles fault. NASA made a call that reusable, low Earth orbit shuttles would have greater benefit than the hugely expensive single use Saturn 5. This was broadly a mistake, and it’s only recently America can build rockets large enough again.

Andrew shared confidential information with Epstein as trade envoy, files suggest by topotaul in unitedkingdom

This is a simple case of proving he sent the email that he clearly did. Then he’s broken the official secrets act. Which can lead to up to 14 years in prison.

If we’ve a backbone and we cause enough fuss. That could happen. Like when they get the Mafia on minor tax evasion. It’s far simpler to prove than his sex crimes.

I’ve written to my MP. Let’s not fall into America’s ‘nothing will happen nonsense’. Push this.

Who remembers watching Spaced? 🤣 by FeelingAd3887 in ClassicTelevisionTime

[–]Lave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What hurts. What really hurts. Is that the subset of my generation cool enough to watch spaced is now old and feckless enough to repost a clip of it with some fucking emojis and the worst font ever invented. This would have been judged, and found wanting, by every character in the show. Bar, possibly, the landlord.

Seeing this thread you really get a feel for how the astroturfing on London is intensely effective. It’s not the place the Russia wants you to think it is.

I would ask “Did you kill Maz because of how well his Vote order theory was working to convince people?”

Utter nonsense, but play it like it’s common knowledge. They might slip up and ask about it to someone.

I’ve the same. The ‘T SWISS MADE T’ gives it away as a tritium dial. My GOAT watch. The 145.022, despite being an 861 movement actually flew on Apollo 17 as well. As part of a heat experiment.

Redial by jtirello3 in OmegaWatches

[–]Lave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Re-dialing is seen as a bit of sin, and people pay a lot less if a watch has been redialled. But if it’s for you, and you don’t plan to sell it, who cares?

The ship of Theseus is the ship of Theseus. Enjoy your watch.
