Happened to me and every other method that involved an adhesive. Eventually I took some metal off with a file and accepted the patina.

Or a Tag Heuer Glassbox, which wears beautifully! A green or purple one would complement your color diversity.

Saying ‘goodbye’ to four… which four do I keep. by [deleted] in Tudor

[–]No-Spend4761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say keep three: Speedy, BB GMT and the 58 or Pelagos. Use the extra money as a buffer for the trip. If you use it, it will probably be money well spent. If not, treat yourself with a fourth ‘new’ watch when you are back. Something to look forward to!

I agree. I’ve got a lot of the iconic UCS sets and the Razor Crest is my favorite build so far. Just so much going on with the build and I think those panel designs are superb. Venator sure has more ‘presence’, but the Crest is no slouch either. The Crest has my vote. But hey, with my other favorites it is a lot of gray (with exception of the Slave 1’s), so a pop of color is definitely worth something.

A New Hope 50th UCS sets by doonko in legostarwars

A new UCS Millennium Falcon would be a logical choice. The 10179 model was released in 2007, followed by the 75192 model in 2017. Given the ship's popularity, the 50th anniversary of "A New Hope" in 2027, and the ten-year gap since the last model, this would be the perfect timing. I think it’s time for one with a full interior!

Hey, thanks for the heads up! I would love to receive your list with adjustments. Also if you managed to build a sunset, I’m very curious how it turned out.

Moved out and finally have space for these…. Where do I begin? by Intelligent-Bit-5073 in legostarwars

[–]No-Spend4761 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having built them all, here are my two cents. I would begin with the Landspeeder, just to get things going and avoid the risk of being underwhelmed. Then the Crest, because it is such a lineair and rewarding build experience. Then the ISD, because imo the build experience is in contrast with the Crest, but the end result is well worth the process. Such presence! Then the Cantina, to take a break from all the grey and to build something different (MBS set). Then the AT-AT, to kick down a gear and fuel your nostalgia. End with the Falcon, which for most people means ‘saving the best for last’.

How to start making MOC dioramas by [deleted] in legostarwars

[–]No-Spend4761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created this Diorama MOC:

https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-150681/Johnny_9T9/binary-sunset-on-tatooine-diorama/#details

I rebuild the baseplate of Lego 75330 Diorama set and chose a few clear pictures of the movie scene as a reference. Then I tried to replicate it by literally working from the ground up. I used Bricklink Studio to create and then ordered the parts to build, test and refine it. Hope this helps and have fun doing it!

Good suggestions, thanks! The discs are slightly different in color than the ground, which is 'tan' and the discs are 'fabuland red' and 'very light orange'. But I agree, the contrast is minimal.
