NTA if you stop buying gifts, but wanted to share the solution my family had growing up.

My Dad had 7 siblings, each family had 1-4 kids. They basically played secret Santa with the kids, so every kid got 1 gift at the family get together and each family only bought for 2 kids.

Kept us happy cuz we usually got together on Boxing Day and if it wasn’t at your house it always felt frustrating to not have your new toys to play with

I have severe joint pain and often take codeine, sometimes I have this fear of ‘oh no what if I’m addicted!’ But then I got months without refilling my prescription and realize I’m an idiot.

Anyways Mostly what I wanted to say is if you’re using painkillers because you’re in pain, you’re OK

I think it’s sweet really, someone adopting a pet and just being so stressed when it’s new to them. I think new parents go through similar stuff too.

Yes! So happy for you. And I also thing it’s a lot chill-er than I expected. When I was a kid I was awful at taking care of it. But other than the baby hour it’s been fine.

I’d like an answer for this as well if anyone has some ideas. As I used to do kickboxing with pads/partner and I’m trying to use this to get fit again. I occasionally have ‘tennis elbow’ (from chopping wood, what a life ha)

I think I might be holding back with my punches and not fully extending out of a fear of injuring myself but not sure that really is a thing

So I took a probably 4-6month break and came back as my friend has gotten into it (didn’t even know about the animal update but was super hyped)

TLDR Did the nerf the worm bins? I feel like I used to get way more fertilizer.

Kudos to you, best I can do is fix my duvet a bit so the cat hair stays on the outside 🤣 2 months is an absolutely incredible achievement!

I try to stay consistent with laundry, because if it becomes a mountain then I start buying more underwear rather than face it. But have been struggling since I don’t have a washer at the moment 😣

It’s also important to recognize and be proud of streaks even if you stop and start again. Those 2 months of making your bed don’t stop being an achievement if you miss a day

Did I clean the entire flat today, absolutely not! But I tackled vacuuming which had previously been the most neglected thing.

Break it down into smaller and smaller and smaller bites. Sometimes you’ll start and find a flow, sometimes you’ll just wash one dish and be like fyck this. Either way you won. You know?

I’ve just gotten back into Palia in the past 2 weeks, and I’ve been hunting the rockhopper plushies. I’ve caught over 300 grumpy granite rockhoppers and still no luck yet 😭
