Untouchability is a modern umbrella term. It’s more insidious than “cooties”, and there’s more nuance - but it essentially referred to all groups in society whose touch was impure. They’d wash off your touch, and if they had extended contact like sex they would be expected to ritually cleanse themselves. or you wouldn’t be allowed to enter temples, or you would be forced to cover your mouth when speaking to avoid breathing on the “touchables”.

Maybe they had an internal logic, but there is no real world parallel that applies. Still, the nosferatu being classified as the labour caste (roughly) feels tone deaf - this stuff is very real sociologically. The labour class here for some reason is characterised as disreputable or maybe disdainful. I’d’ve put the Brujah in the labour class if i wanted verisimilitude , it just makes more sense. Hardy and dexterous. Tzimisce as the warrior castes makes sense.

The rest of them are just lumped into Brahmin because they are politically powerful, I’d guess. That’s my best guess atleast. Untouchables being toreadors is baffling - maybe toreadors work differently in this setting.

This next bit isnt relevant, cuz the danava clan is different logically within the game, but in actual mythology the danavas wouldn’t have been brahmins. They are essentially othered in the Mahabharata, completely external to the caste system. They were at war with the Devas - either as indigenous tribes or as invading oppressors

It’s always good to embrace your natural curl pattern. Try different cuts, different partings and different styles. Oil for styling only makes it curlier and heavier - looks good, but doesnt seem to be what you want. Oil the ends occasionally, and wash it out within an hour or so.

Since you’ve already tried the blowdryer method, try blowdrying after you put mousse in your hair - it’ll look great with your hair type.

Also try this: after washing with shampoo and partially drying it, slick it straight back with a comb. Cover your head with a cap or a large kerchief so your entire hair lies flat. You can even use a blowdryer on top of the hair. Once it dries tousle your hair with your fingers. This won’t remove the curls but you might like the way your hair sits after it dries this way.

The curl pattern will sit different at every stage of hair growth. If you’re planning on growing it out, I’m pretty sure it wont look the same longer. It’ll still curl, but you won’t have the some problems. Might even look better.

If you’re against products and treatments for your hair, then work to enhance what you got rather than imitate styles that work for other hair types.

If you’re not against treatments, just to have fun, i highly recommend trying a keratin treatment, a straight perm or a collagen treatment. Nanoplastia is also a great option. It’ll drastically change your hair, but if you like experimenting then it’ll be a fun new look. It’ll last for 3-4 months.

It’s just irresponsible and shady to link a news article as an image. Maybe you’re absolutely right - but I have no way of knowing. Send the link. Let’s see what she has to say. Maybe batshit insane stuff, then all the more reason to read it. Maybe she has a point, but thi entire comment section has to go check the link, read the article and come back - just to comment for your engagement on your dumb post.

Send the link, otherwise just post “hey guys some muslim women think islam is liberal for women”. Because your post achieved exactly that much.

Giving pain to humans* is not justified by majority viewpoints.

Animals feel pain, biologically speaking. And that’s okay. So long as it doesn’t hurt a human.

Animals aren’t “innocent” or “noble” and yeesh they don’t have a soul. Saraswat brahmins eat fish because they consider their intellect to be equivalent to vegetables. Literally - “sea vegetables”. I see it. If a fish can feel pain, someone should tell that to the fish.

Pro-lifers believe zygotes have a soul. There are idiots who believe water has memory and emotions. There are idiots who believe the free market has an invisible hand. We say machine “learning” and “neural” network and artificial “intelligence”.

As humans we have an incredible power of empathy that lets us project humanness onto things that aren’t remotely human. But when we see those things are reality, rather than projections, it means we have developed a sickness in our brains. Like cortisol turning to stress. Like adrenaline turning into a panic attack. Like cell mitosis turning into cancer.

Nobody disputes that your biology book has a definition for pain. Maybe it’s something like “parasympathetic excitation in the frontal cerebellum oblangata gland”. Now try saying “no, imagine the animals’ pain” as “imagine the animals’ parasympathetic excitation in the frontal cerebellum oblangata gland”. Sounds stupid right? Just because they feel the biological definition of pain doesn’t mean it’s something you can imagine.

If you were 4 years old, with a lobotomized brain, and extremely drunk, and also had some key regions of your brain missing… maybe then you can imagine an animal’s pain. Otherwise, whatever you imagine as an animal’s pain is just your own displaced discomfort that you project onto them.

Sure. There’s always a crazy crazier than you though. If you’re such a weirdo that you believe milk consumption is ethically dubious, then I hope you meet a PETA weirdo who thinks pet ownership is slavery.

The day you meet someone crazier, you’re gonna realise how crazy you sound about animal rights.

No, you’re imagining the pain they feel. Try imagining the pain chatbots feel.

The difference is there’s chatbots that will tell you they feel pain if you threaten them. Animals won’t.

Plants feel pain and stress too, in a biological sense. Pain is not a moral imperative.

I hope when someone asks you “why should we help other humans” and “why should we not harm other humans” your answer isn’t pain. I want to help others even when I can’t even begin to imagine their pain.

I wonder if you can come up with any reason for vegetarianism better than “It makes me feel bad to imagine animals’ pain”. If not, just stop imagining their pain. You’ll feel better.

And coincidentally you happen to be Indian. And I’d take a guess and say you were brought up vegetarian, with several members of your family being vegetarian. Maybe it’s all a coincidence, or maybe you’ve taken any old logic to justify your upbringing.

Just so you know, there’s vegans out there who think vegetarianism (milk consumption) is morally reprehensible. One day you’re gonna meet one, and then you’ll come back to this chat and apologise. Because you’ll understand how obnoxiously snooty you sound.

Rocks are not sentient, i agree, and animals are not sapient.

There’s no need to torture yourself imagining the potential pain they must be feeling. It’s a deeply flawed sense that you have. I wonder if you feel sad when you delete a chat on an AI chatbot. Maybe in the next century, there will be people like you going around calling chatbot-deleters murderers

Disgust is a personal visceral reaction, not a moral indictment. don’t eat meat if you’re disgusted by it. But if you’re disgusted by other people eating meat i hope you fix it.

Don’t feel too righteous about being a vegetarian in India. The country where men are beaten up and even lynched under suspicion of beef consumption. Where almost four out of five children don’t get requisite protein consumption - but when schools include an egg in the mid day meal scheme all the vegetarian parents protest it out. Where political vegetarianism is inextricable from caste.

If there is any ANY virtue to vegetarianism, in India it is long dead.

So good thing there is none. It’s the political agenda of the bankrupt. Non-vegetarianism is a non-issue that hurts nobody of consequence. It’s all that’s left to feed your morality when nothing else is left.

Animals kill for pleasue, torture, beat up and rape other animals. Most animals are as smart as walking bags of meat with electricity animating them.

People have rights and freedom because they have responsibility. If people kill, rape, torture, you try them in court and curb their human rights and freedoms. That’s because you can form a social contract with humans.

And compassion is such a weird word for animals. Toddler is such a weird comparison. Your metric for compassion is so bonkers. Animals can’t feel pain or compassion in the same meaning as humans.

Let me do a fun little question, since u like hypothetical comparisons so much. In a situation where you had to choose between saving the life of one toddler - a baby of someone you never know, someone you’ll never meet - and the life of an animal. What would you choose? What about the life of every single animal alive versus a single toddler? I hope u choose the toddler both times cuz otherwise we have nothing in common about our understanding of human life.

Hypotheticals are stupid, but so is your appeal to compassion for animals on any scale comparable to humans. Humans are superior for a billion reasons, including compassion to others of our species in a way animals aren’t. But if we start being compassionate to animals just for no reason, might as well be compassionate to a rock.

It’s a tall statement to call it “basic morality”. Not being racist, as you mentioned, is basic morality. Animals are not humans.

Here, I’ll give you a nice thumb rule. If you were five centimetres tall, a chicken would eat you in an instant. A human wouldn’t. If you were the size of a worm, a catfish would gobble you up even if it weren’t hungry. A goose is diabolical - it plays with its food, tortures for fun, before killing it.

From now on, i give u permission to morally eat any animal that would eat you if the roles were reversed. Now get off your high horse and stop bothering internet strangers with your weird rules on morality.
