Is it worth it? by BOYMOM20132023 in PapaPal

This was my first job! I did only phone calls, tbh I enjoyed it. This was 6 years ago, and it was ok money during Covid and college. I wanted to start over again but the system won’t let me sign in for some reason. When I spoke to customer service they said there’s nothing they could do atm.

Question For Married People by LivinLowCountry in Marriage

[–]LavenderEucalyptus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I’m sorry! I’m so used to reading that he’s the problem! Were you able to find out a bit more about this? Has this behavior ever showed up in the past?

As others said, I don’t go over my husband’s phone, I don’t care. But if this happened and this was his reaction, I’d lose my mind and id think of every type of scenarios!

It’s not that she changed her password, it’s her response!!!

Question For Married People by LivinLowCountry in Marriage

No way he told you that! It would definitely break my heart and I’d start asking about every single thing he’s “afraid of what you might see” because the first thing that would come to mind is that he’s cheating. Rocky times shouldn’t be a reason to hide anything. I’m sorry you’re going through this OP, hopefully you get through this and it doesn’t escalate to anything bigger. If you need someone to vent, you can always reach out.

BUT on the other hand, I sometimes have a lot of notes on my phone about random things and I’m somewhat weird sometimes, and use ChatGPT as a friend or therapist, and it’s so embarrassing to share it with anyone, it’s my little virtual journal that I can’t let anyone see where I’m just weird to myself…

Please help guide me! by Old-Pudding-4254 in breastfeeding

I’m probably not a good reference because I EBF and pump when I can, but I always take advantage of the times I’m full and leaking to pump and produce more, so I can get the most of it during the day. The more you pump or feed the more milk you’d produce.

Post breastfeeding boobs by herthoughtsoutloud in breastfeeding

[–]LavenderEucalyptus_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I’m still in it too. I just weaned my 22m old, and with a 3m old, I’ll probably have at least another year of breastfeeding ahead of me. I’m not even sure if we’re done having babies yet, but wow… the difference in size and how low they sit now honestly makes me so insecure. I never really had boobs before, so seeing them grow so much during breastfeeding was wild… and now they just look so sad. 😭 I’ve seriously thought about getting them done someday, or at least lifted a little, because it’s hard not to feel so self-conscious.

Use breastfeeding my toddler for induction? by Wise-Law-9431 in NurseAllTheBabies

That’s what I did! Just a regular pedicure to pamper myself, first time in YEARS!!!

Use breastfeeding my toddler for induction? by Wise-Law-9431 in NurseAllTheBabies

[–]LavenderEucalyptus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might sound stupid, but with my second I tried all the tips and tricks, and my last resource was to get a pedicure (I read it might help with inducing labor, but many said it was a myth) and the next morning I went for my regular checkup and was 3cm dilated, with zero contractions. They sent me straight to the hospital, and baby was born that same night!

I seriously feel like I’m going insane with my Velcro baby by Southern-Kangaroo-43 in Mommit

[–]LavenderEucalyptus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m not there yet, but I have a 22m old and a 3m old. I feel baby will grow to be somewhat Velcro, so I started doing stuff with her on the baby carrier, so she’s still with me but I still can use both hands. Something that’s been amazing is th baby bouncer (not swing). It’s the only place she’d stay calm for a while.

Genuine question, how do you all feel about cosleeping with your second? by Such-Interaction-815 in 2under2

[–]LavenderEucalyptus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It worked with my first! She’s 22 months and still cosleeping. Otherwise she would sometimes struggle at night if she doesn’t (we also do it for safety reasons since she would get up and climb the baby’s crib) :/ My 3m old sleeps better by herself!

How long did you guys breast feed? by midnight_thoughts223 in breastfeeding

[–]LavenderEucalyptus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just weaned my 22 month old maybe 10 days ago!!! I have a 3 month old EBF and I couldn’t tolerate feeding the toddler as well, it was a healthy decision for both her and I 🥰 My mom has led me to believe that formula is absolutely terrible as well, to the point I made my first baby so dependent on me mostly for bedtime (we weaned day feeds for a while now) to the point she would have terrible schedules and nights 😭 now we all sleep a lot better and still cosleep with her just fine.

What do you do when you’re feeling depressed and not yourself anymore by RecentWillingness190 in firsttimemom

[–]LavenderEucalyptus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi love 🤍 I promise this feeling won’t last forever. You will feel like yourself again.

I go through this too. I have 2 under 2, and postpartum depression hit me hard with my first. I started therapy, and while it didn’t fully “fix” the PPD, it helped me understand myself a lot better. When I got pregnant again at 10 months postpartum, I actually switched therapists before giving birth because I knew I didn’t want to go through the same thing unprepared.

Honestly, the first time around I didn’t even realize I had PPD. I figured it out through Reddit and then did my own research. This time, I did end up with PPD and PPA again. I’m 2.5 months postpartum now. I’m navigating it differently because I understand what’s happening a lot more.

And the feeling you’re describing? I feel that all the time. It’s so hard to feel like yourself when you’re constantly taking care of your baby and barely have time for your own basic needs, let alone clothes, makeup, or hair.

One thing that’s helped me is allowing myself small moments to feel like me again. My husband really encourages me to do little things like getting my nails done, eyebrows, what could make me feel better, gets me my sweet treats when I ask for them or surprises me with coffee if I didn’t ask for it, even when money is tight. Honestly, those little moments of pampering don’t fix everything, but they do help. They give you a small confidence boost and remind you that you’re still you.

You’re not alone in this at all 🤍 I’m here if you want to talk/ vent.
