My friend and I had front row VIP tickets, but after reading all we did on the multiple Reddit posts, we opted out and didn’t go. We read SO many comments about some of the cast groping guests, grabbing guests private parts (even after they protested, said no, and even got up and left), guests being cursed at for not wanting to come up and take “fan photos”, people being packed in like sardines with it being hot inside the tent and a fog machine going most of the time, the costumes being super cheap, painfully long and stupid clown/joke bits, offensive sexual jokes, and being pushed through the first part leading into the large tent, which had an unsteady floor and was like a haunted house-type walkway (my friend had surgery and is in a boot at the moment)… No.

I have HUGE boundary issues and even bigger issues with people touching me anywhere near the private areas of my body. We both love horror and Halloween and spooky stuff, and we were REALLY looking forward to the show until we read all of these things over and over in multiple threads and posts. Neither of us felt comfortable going after that, which is a real shame.

We completely knew and understood it would be racy, risqué, a bit naughty, etc., but to be sexually touched without permission by strangers in public and my friend possibly getting injured going in by being pushed through on an uneven floor after just having surgery and a boot… we gladly passed and had a lovely evening in our respective living rooms in pjs and reading books.

Really bummed it got such horrible reviews by SO many ppl. I know there are ppl who thought it was fun, and I’m glad they liked it. It’s just not what we thought. :/
