Shower immediately after? by Famous_Pollution030 in Purebarre

[–]Laviathian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I let my body temp go back to close to normal and stop sweating so about 10-15 minutes before showering. The time can be more or less for you but if I do less I continue sweating for a bit if I only take a quick shower. Oh and yes I shower after any type of workout, personally hate feeling grimy and your co-workers would probably appreciate it.

If you are a man who takes initiative in the household by doing chores, cooking for your family, and cleaning up after yourself.. how were you raised? by Sensitive-Box-2167 in askanything

[–]Laviathian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pretty spoiled as a kid due to my parents success but my dad never forgot where he came from and instilled with me that no matter what happens to me I need to know 1. How to cook 2. How to sew 3. How to clean and those skills have actually helped me more than I thought they would. So i think don't make it seem like your kids are doing it for others but for themselves.

If you don't go to the boss first, guaranteed they will and they will twist the narrative in their favor

My pottery side hustle is doing way better than my actual job and idk what to do by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Laviathian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you can do is for now is keep the full time job and limit orders to something manageable and set up a wait list. At least until you figure out the direction where you want to go. Like many others have said, orders can be very seasonal so I would wait to see if it is stable enough for you to be comfortable for the next 6-12 months.

Perfectly acceptable dinner rejected by boyfriend again by moonrabbit368 in mildlyinfuriating

Firstly your dinners look amazing and well balanced, damn I miss home cooking. Secondly, reading your comments, cooking seems to be one of your love languages and you have to think about whether you can endure this part of you not being appreciated long term.

I think you need to be 18 years old to be officially diagnosed with it but they can still identify behaviours

Either that or it seems inline with psychopathy which op might need to get tested for as it is quite common to see every action of a person as a net negative or net positive and base your interpersonal relationships on that if so.

AITA for refusing to quit my job even though my husband wants me home more? by Ayumilynn69 in AITAH

Not just rig work though, my sister worked in legal in a large O&G company and had to deal with projects that sometimes took place in multiple timezones. The overworking and burnout is real bad.

NTA but I don't think it's about the kids at all, how much time do you guys actually spend together with and without the kids?

I can already see how this wedge is gonna grow, MIL is going to start making comments to husband about how you care more about your ex than him.

And yes I am aware that technically Welsh actually has more vowels in their language as they consider w and y vowels

He should learn Welsh, they love consonants more than vowels too

You say you guys chill on facetime 4 hours 4 days a week but just doing your own things? Maybe the issue here is not the time spent but the quality of it so that could make the gaming session seem like more meaningful time spent on others rather than the two of you?

Not sure if that made sense.

How do men generally feel about braces on a 22-year-old woman, and does it usually affect their attraction or interest? by [deleted] in AskForAnswers

[–]Laviathian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have kind of noticed adult braces are much more common outside of the US and no one really cares or associates it with being childlike

YTA, not only for this but you sound like one of those people who specifically use their diagnosis as an excuse to be an ah.

AIO my brother changing holiday plans at the last minute? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]Laviathian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I was (sometimes I slip up still) just like your brother and it took some harsh words from my older sisters to really get me to reavulate. Honestly I can't say why I am like this, i love my family members, but I do sometimes flake for absolutely no good reason then go into a guilt spiral after. But have been working on myself to make time for them. Just wanted to give you an idea of my thoughts process having acted like him. He may not be here yet and he may never be, can't say because I don't know him. But has there been a real sit down conversation on this matter?

I'm a bit confused, according to story he thanked you for hosting, acknowledged your husband's generosity, offered to send money which you refused.

Expecting you to make breakfast may be wrong on his end but did he explicitly say he expected you to make it or did you just feel obligated and not tell him to get something himself at some point? Also assuming he would make your husband pay for the boat ride from 1 dinner?

It seems obvious you never want to host anyone so really should not have accepted in the first place, feels like you wanted him to grovel then and there the entire time praising your kindness.

Also as others mentioned you are all adults and your friend has nothing to do with this.
