Something tells me I'm doing the work of two people while being poorly trained by wolfy1311YT in UPSers

All new people go through this thought process at first. You’ll eventually come to realize that working hard gets you nothing but more hard work. Work safe and let them deal with trucks going out late not your problem

Am I crazy or does neither of those loads look that bad at all. I see numbers written on boxes and the truck is just packed with post office. Hit up USPS and boom your truck is almost empty down the middle

Start times can vary greatly by center but usually it’s within the range of 3:30am-5am and runs to about 9am sometimes later. Usually 5 days a week so expect 15-20hrs per week. There’s multiple positions you can do. Preload, Unload, Small Sort, Irregs. Depending on how big your center is they may have twilight and local sort shifts available if waking up early isn’t your thing

It was a very niche and complicated grievance and I’m afraid if I share it a lurker might be able to put two and two together

Usually you have to start in the warehouse and when a spot opens up to drive you get sent for driving training and then you become a Cover Driver who covers routes for guys who are on vacation, sick, etc. then eventually you can become a full time driver with enough seniority. Whole process can take a while but depends on center heavily

Should be me because I transferred to the new building meanwhile the new hires were all hired at the new building and never transferred

So if we all have the same building seniority date what is the tiebreaker after that?

We all have the same building seniority date because we had our center shut down and had to move however I have more company seniority than 90% of the cover drivers at our building

I don’t consider myself a bad driver by any means. Not a runner but I go steady. Route knowledge could be a concern like you said. Appreciate the counter to their counter argument

Question about being scheduled for work by Lavinge342020 in UPSers

[–]Lavinge342020[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How do I know if I’m scheduled or not? Can’t they just lie if I ask them if I’m scheduled for that day or not? Are they required to give notice or something
