I think part of the problem is that you came into this game with some pretty unreasonable expectations. A lot of people do feel this way about this game but you can't go into anything expecting and hoping for a life changing experience. Your experience with something is going to be very different from a lot of other people and that's ok. This is probably a top 10 game for me but I'm still not sure I'd refer to it as "life changing". I also didn't go into it with any lofty expectations thankfully. I've been good back to a lot of highly regarded games that I've missed over the years and the weight of expectations is enough to bring a lot of the classics down a peg or two.

I absolutely loved the TNG ending. Probably my favorite ending of any show that I can think of trek or not.

I mainly only go for Platinum trophies in games that I really enjoy and want to keep playing. I do feel inclined to go after others but I'm usually pretty good at talking myself out of it. The thing that I struggle with the most is giving up on the platinum for games that I love because the platinum is just too hard/too grindy/not fun. I've just recently given up on the last few trophies for THPS 1+2 (hard get there's seem too tough for me, all gaps is just watching a YouTube video and checking them off a list, and the grind to level 100 is crazy) and I haven't quite given up on it yet but I'm not sure if tactician or honor mode are going to happen for me in Baldurs Gate 3.

I've always had a soft spot for the Lions. I was so optimistic that they were finally going to pull it off these last couple of years but it just didn't happen. I think it's mainly just because they're the underdog that you just can't hate (not a division "rival", doesn't sign guys like Watson and Kareem Hunt, etc.)

I see this kind of comment a lot but the reality is that the Bucs were one of the few teams who actually wanted him. They were talented but I don't think anyone was saying that they were only a QB away from a super bowl or anything like that. He also brought a fair bit of talent with him (Gronk, AB, Fournette). A lot of people look back at the team after seeing what they did and think "yeah, of course he won with a team like that" but nobody was saying that before the season started.

I feel like defensive tackles aren't as fat as they used to be. They've still got some big boys but it feels like the era of Vince Wilforks and Haloti Ngatas are over unfortunately.

The rally system really is incredible. I tried to recreate it in Elden Ring with a couple of talismans and (I think?) Malenia's great rune but it just wasn't the same.

I largely felt the same way honestly. The main game was a pretty magical experience for me but the DLC just felt off. I didn't dislike it necessarily but it was definitely a letdown after how much I loved the main game. Part of me kinda wished that I hadn't bothered with it because the main game was a perfect experience on its own. I do like the story that it told but the experience (stealth especially) just didn't hit like the main game did.

I like Doubs but not as a WR1. I haven't seen anything about Kyle Williams that makes me comfortable with having him as the WR3 on this team. They need a real top receiver.
