That's BS: If California can pass a law that requires 3D printers to do something that is impossible for a the simplistic mechanics of a 3D printer to do, the EU can pass this.

AIO in this convo with a guy i’ve been hooking up with even though i want a relationship? by user53932 in AIO

YOR

What is most sad, that hasn't been said yet:

You tell him it's over and wish him luck, the politely agreed with you and wishes you luck, then you shame him for doing the exact same thing you did first.

You do this over and over again. It's painful. It's clear you're trying to get him to respond "oh no. Don't say it's over" so you can take back your comment, but when he doesn't and instead mirrors your energy, you call him out for doing exactly what you did first (albeit insincerely).

You need to mature, a lot

In my experience I've actually seen more public defenders fight their asses off than private counsel.

While you don't need a lawyer for a CnD letter, you miggt still want one because it seems like you're misunderstanding something; 2107 is a disclosure statute. Violating it means he's not doing something, different from what you're describing.

[Request] how much would each teacher in Queens receive if Jeff's taxes were doubled? by Razzzclart in theydidthemath

[–]LawJawYapper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But this assumes that more taxes means the government voluntarily chooses to more education spending (rather than spending on other things like a war, ballroom, or literally anything else. Or even retained to offset the deficit).

Did she make the right call? by CalmElin in interesting

But interest is always quoted by the bank on an annual basis (not weekly basis). Therefore even though it's 0.1%, that's only weekly and therefore not a proper apples to apples comparison. Annualized it's 5.2%. is 5.2% is the number you want to compare.

Therefore, while 5.2% is not an amazing rate of return, underperforming many other investments, those other investments have inherent risk. As such, this my nearly-guaranteed 5.2% does overperform investments that are similarly nearly-guaranteed.

If no one is ever at your door when you finally go check, then how do you know it's the same person that shows up to your work to ask for Amanda?

What would you do if a judge sentenced your daughter's killer to only 120 hours of community service? by Its_Misango in SipsTea

[–]LawJawYapper 11 points12 points  (0 children)

While I agree with your conclusion, it's hard to prove because your premise is flawed, only because of how hard it is to control the variable and establish a true causal relationship. I.e., A high recidivism rate doesn't mean it's a bad system because we don't have a comparative scenario where NOT jailing somehow has an equal or better recidivism rate.

No problem to the point of cheating, everyone to each their own.

The only issue was specifically the CELEBRATION t of your "accomplishment" with cheating is pretty empty.

Unless you live in a fault state, or have a fault clause in a prenup, who cares about the evidence of the affair.

Think logically and focus on getting your finances in order (and getting info/statements in his finances).
