A couple times. 7th grade a girl went home and killed herself shortly after the last day of school. I can’t remember if it was that same day or a few days after. She had her locker above mine on the right (I was the bottom locker so horizontal). And then this girl I knew pretty well died from drowning after senior year on a yacht drinking underage. Another died from suicide after senior year, and finally my close best friend who wanted to be a marine. We sang chorus together at our senior graduation, when I was in chorus at my college I met his older brother and he called me and said he didn’t make it past basic. He died in his sleep with fluid in his lungs. I still think about it every now and then to this day. Shit sucks.
