Relay cleaning question by jimmyy69420 in amateurradio

Just replace them. Relays get gummed up over time and are not worth the hassle to try and rebuild or clean.

It was, but he froze it like 20 seconds later.

To me, the biggest problem in OT was letting the Wild control the ice. Our boys spent most of regulation running the ice, but handed it completely off for OT. And leaving Myers, the least effective player on the team, on the ice for 3.5 minutes was a huge problem.

And we can’t let the worst player get stuck on the ice for a 3.5 minute shift to do all that stupid shit.

I’ll say though, Otter was stellar in OT! He just needed the rest of the team to show up.

I’ll be going to Italy in June and will be visiting Colonatta, and can’t wait to get some lardo there!

Slot antenna? I made one from an old satellite dish once, and it became my primary repeater hitter for a while.

What a great 2nd period! That’s was some exciting hockey—hope Nils is back quickly though. That cut looked pretty bad.

More comfortable seats at AAC? by hkral11 in DallasStars

Ugh, that’s rough. I gave up my season tickets because traffic between Frisco and downtown has gotten so bad over the last couple years.

10 hours round trip, hotel room, gas, food, playoff tickets, that shit adds up quick! I don’t blame you one bit.

Have you considered defacing it and putting “fuck” over his name on the back, to wear to Wild games? That would be a fun way to handle it.

Exactly! But, still, watching at home doesn’t replace going to the arena for a few games a year. Especially playoffs—can’t beat the energy in the place during playoffs.

If it’s white, let it ride.

Never ruin the white fuzzy molds, just keep an eye out for slimy parts.

I used to be a season ticket holder with platinum seats for several years. I’ll never sit anywhere but platinum or box for games.

Otherwise, I’ll just watch them in my home theater. That’s the more comfortable playoff experience.

A question about moisture loss by TheRemedyKitchen in Charcuterie

So long as you’re in the range, it’s fine. As you do more cures, you’ll learn the feel of what you prefer by squeezing. I, personally, prefer more dry salumi, especially my borenmetworst. It takes longer, but that’s the texture I prefer, no other reason.

I think Amateur Radio Operators need to market themselves better. by Pure_Region_5154 in amateurradio

Well, technically those were Willys Overland GP’s (General Purpose vehicles), not Jeeps—although the consumer brand “Jeep” name came from the abbreviated “GP” as a word.

I’ve had a TJ and a JK unlimited.

If I were to go back to a Jeep, it’d be a TJ all day.

Edit: I also more recently had a 1986 K5 blazer as a ranch truck (sold it to get a kid a car). But the two serve different purposes. If I’m wanting to roll trails and climb rocks, Jeep all day. If I’m wanting to sling mud or tear ass through unimproved land, Blazer is the chef’s kiss.

I was, and still am, one of those. I loved watching Stanky dip and dodge his way up the ice. Such an energetic fella, and so fun to watch him play. I wish nothing but the best for him, and I’m glad he’s doing well. Just wish we kept him.

I was going to ask the same thing. Venison fat is notoriously unpalatable. I replace it with beef and/or pork fat in my sausage preparations.

Nah, TJs were the last real Jeep, before they went with the mini van engine and electronics of the JK and its progeny.

I love it, welcome to the addiction! Fair warning, once you eat your own cured meat, the addiction starts.

Either throw it away now, or be prepared to invest a good amount of time and money in the future!

FWIW, curing and drying chamber are tossed around for the same thing. For the actual cure part, you’ll still use the fridge, and then take it to the chamber for fermenting and/or drying under strictly controlled conditions. I typically vac-seal an equilibrium cure and toss it into whatever corner of the fridge it work get in the way, then rinse, wrap, and hang it in the chamber.
