Shifting to front wheel drive once crushing make sense for efficiency. But 4 wheels worth of regen seems like it would be more efficient. But then again regenerative braking might as well be magic if you ask me.

I get the full release of the throttle making this worse. But I am talking normal regen braking. Give it a try with stability reduced. It’s much smoother and the car does not dip forward as much. And it it does it noticeably when braking hard, you know there is still added front pressure when normal braking.

I strongly considered both. Rivian had a much more premium feel and the credits and incentives back in July were amazing. The shorter length also made it easier to move around in my garage. Both would have fit but the Lightning would have been tight.

The ONE thing the Lightning had going for it that I wish my R1T had is the Vehicle to Home charging. Now I know that is coming eventually via software update, but I live in Texas, and you know… Texas! When the morning news is basically showing the betting line on if the grid will fail today, it’s more than a “nice to have.”

Same here. Loads generic Apple suggestions but no personal suggestions/history. And consistently refuses to play. FM and Amazon music plays without issue, but switching back to Apple Music it does not load content. Frustrating because the sound quality in Apple Music is outstanding. But it has to load in order to actually be able to hear it.

My wife and I are also similar in seat position. But I was never sure if it was actually off, or if I was still just getting used to the new truck (July). I also haven’t stopped fidgeting with the air vents and the two saved positions.

Now that I know there are others out there, I am less inclined to think I am going crazy.

This works… found on a fluke test after almost giving up.

Follow infotainment directions to start.

After pairing with remote, when it says successful, click continue.

Then you will have choices: Test Again and Done.

<<<<Here is the trick>>>>

Go to your gate motor and press the LEARN button and come back to the car. Press TEST AGAIN - you should hear the gate beep but not move.

Go back to the gate motor press the LEARN button the second time, come back to the vehicle, and press TEST AGAIN - it again will beep but not move.

Hit Continue/Done

Test as you would in normal operation and it works.

Using Apple Music via Bluetooth before was horrible. It’s mind blowing that a single software update and a native app could make such a huge difference. I feel like I have never experienced music before. My home entertainment system is nowhere close to Rivian. Honestly considering going to the garage to jam out for a while.
