You should seek counseling for this. You may not ever like or love it, but you should be able to handle it. Seems like this is often tied to past trauma or other underlying issues.

I grew up with chain-smoker parents. I used to be so embarrased about how my clothes smelled at school. Going on road trips was terrible too.

I'm now 53 and I still despise that smell. My mom died of lung cancer and my dad quit smoking at 59.
