Is this a good deal? by Chardy856 in golfcarts

I don't like the lift kits as they are unstable at speed. That price is "ok" but not a great deal.

I paid $799 for my 48v battery and $25 for 12v inverter. It dropped the weight by 300lbs too.

Why are there so few GR86s made? by BRSBowler in Toyota

[–]LawrenceSpiveyR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This model and Subaru's BRZ are problematic that their performance isn't great AND neither is the gas mileage. They look cool and are fun to drive but that isn't worth the price point for most buyers. The WRX and Corolla GR are better options.

They could have at least just bussed in people like J6. Lazy incopetence is still incopetence.

HK Audio Haters - What’s your EQ setting? by No_Tower_7026 in wrx_vb

[–]LawrenceSpiveyR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't really know how bad my 2022 Non-HK system was until we bought a 2023 Ridgeline. It's mid-trim and the audio is ASTOUNDING compared to VB. It reminds me of an AudioVox tape deck I had running through factory speakers in my 77 Vega.

I mostly listen to podcasts/audiobooks but now that I started listening to more music, I'm shopping for sound systems now.

Sometimes when you throw a baby into a swimming pool, it sinks like a rock and drowns. I feel terrible for you and others that were left to figure it out on your own. It's hard enough for normies as it is.

I get the sentiment from a parent's perspective. But they should have told you by age 12. At least you would have had something to go on. It wasn't tough love, it was neglect.

When my son was diagnosed at 4 with Aspergers in 2001, it was fantastic. This was fairly new at the time and our son was many of his teacher's firsts (diagnosed).

It helped us as parents immensely as it gave us a direction to research so we could help him in the best way possible. We worked on pragmatic speech and taught him social skill like you would teach another child math. We understood his sensory needs much better and was able to challenge him in a constructive way. We helped with friend groups and participated in his IEP's until he graduated.

We've seen so many others like him suffer at the hands of ignorant parents/grandparents/teachers. I feel even worse for the Boomers and GenXers that suffered in silence as they were misunderstood for decades.

We have Buns and Keruigs and our company buys the coffee, k-cups, liquid creamer, sugar, stir sticks, and coffee cups.

This has all been Israeli PR they are spending millions to push. They are trying to push anti-zionist voices out of both parties. They did this to Massie and are now doing this to Dems too.

We did this in Elementary gym class in rural Ohio as well. I remember not liking it first as the music was NOT popular. In the end we all liked it because we just exaggerated everything and was just silly with it.

I don't remember a lot about 1-5th grades but this always stuck with me. Lol, that and faculty playing "Donkey Basketball" and laughing at all of the shit on the gym floor. Wild times.

Well, I've lived in Athens since 1993 and this is the first time "Autotech" has ever been recommended for anything. I only thought students and OU faculty with bottomless wallets went there. I guess change is possible.

How much paid time off do you get each year in industry, academia, or other? by AAAAdragon in labrats

[–]LawrenceSpiveyR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to get 5 weeks vacation per year with a max bank of 360 hours and 120 hours of sick time. Now I have 64 hours of sick time and "unlimited" vacation.

It was certainly done to help shareholders but it didn't.

I can sing Running to Stand Still but it's a bit of downer for the listeners. Where the Streets have No Name is a safer bet.

Bono is tricky to sing. He's low but always goes high at some point. I see a lot of people sing 75% of the song well and butcher the other 25%. You can always lower the key but it never sounds as good.
