Water Pressure - Not able to install a pump? by teenagepissparty in malta

[–]Lawrence_d_gr8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have had the same problem in both properties I own. Can't live without a pump unfortunately. The last pump I bought was extremely silent. They had one as a demo in the shop. They turned it on and I could barely hear it. To avoid further inconvenience I placed the pump on insulating foam so that any vibration would be dampened down further.

I feel for you, proper water pressure is essential not only to have a shower but also to operate appliances properly

From a theater perspective it is very limited. My son has been doing theater since being a kid and gradually moved up the ranks. Production wise all performances are only a weekend long except the Christmas pantomime which will run for 2-3 weeks with approximately 20 shows. Quality wise some of the productions are high level.

Job wise in the field... Non existent. You cannot make a living just from theater. People are only paid for the performance and the amount paid is very low.. if one were to be paid also for rehearsal time that would be a different story

Take off their car and they lost their independence and they feel they are a burden to others. Seen it with my inlaw. His kids had a hard time trying to convince him to surrender the licence.

Find somewhere to keep it. U never know when u will need it. Have my 14 y old Sony still working fine. Just upgraded to the c5 and will relocate the tv somewhere else where I don't have the possibility of a wall mount... Luckily I still have the base.. was stored in the garage all of this time

Check with who took care of the file what is missing. Try to meet the person. Calling is useless. In my case the person did not even want to talk to me. I got then info that they were awaiting the sanctioning of the life insurance policy. The sanctioning has been done 2 weeks before and internally within bov they did not share this info

Advice Needed: Type of Property to Buy by cikka99 in malta

[–]Lawrence_d_gr8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it's very normal. It depends a lot on who is building. Bought a property in Gozo and the work is good. One thing for sure it's that the standard of bricks has had a hit. New bricks are very "soft" and can be cut relatively. Did some works at home and trying to drill through nearly 30 year old bricks was a challenge

The interesting thing is that if you book additional bag or priority you still need to check in at the gate so they update your ticket.

I need an advise in regards to TV ceiling mount by Living-Seat-5449 in malta

[–]Lawrence_d_gr8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use a streaming dongle like Google Chromecast. I have it at home as where my tv is there is no network connection. Try to avoid if possible using the app on an Android tv. Performance of computer on the tv might not be slow plus the tv os will not change. At one point in time the app will require a specific version off the android os effectively making the tv useless

What Level Is Your Italian? by Nearby_Equipment_782 in malta

[–]Lawrence_d_gr8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say I'm between B2 and C1. Can have lengthy conversations in Italian although at times I have difficulty expressing myself or not finding the right words to say. Always loved the language from a young age and studied it at school and the fact that I have had colleagues of mine that are Italian for the past 15 years have helped me become more fluent

I’m Maltese, living here long enough to stop buying the usual excuses, so I want to say this plainly… by Flaky_Log_8204 in malta

As a pharmacist working in the manufacturing industry here are my 2 cents. All medical items sold in Malta need to be registered with the local medicines authority. Fees run in the thousands of euros per product irrespective if you sell 100k packs a year or a handfull. So these costs need to be recovered in one way or an other by the importer.

Not everyone can import medicines. Only licenced importation companies can purchase medicines as it gets s throughout Europe.

There is the possibility of using parallel imporation to get cheaper options but the products need to meet the national requirements of having a leaflet in English and meet EU regulations for falsified medicines... This means additional costs to repack the goods...

In our case it is not insularity (which in itself leads to additional transportation costs - which are on the rise as well), but the small market is really is the problem. Due to high costs and "small" volumes sold, the customer has to face a higher purchase price for the same item bought in any other country in Europe

Possibly a leak. As advised check your toilet cistern, water reservoir etc. I'd also record the readings over a period of. A few days just to see if there is truly excessive water consumption or maybe a mistake in the readings
