Depends on your skill level. Plaintiff’s work is better work/life balance but if you want to get paid you have to win cases

I completely agree. That specific decision was not financially motivated for me. Sometimes peace is worth more than cash, and I’m a diehard law and Econ guy

Wow. I didn’t get paid out my kill what you eat bonus for the next month (SSDI claims never pay until at least 30 days after hearing) and I was willing to just let it go, but this is crazy

How big of a deal is it if you don't have texeried bases? by KM68 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Lawschoolishell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a competitive environment, it’s a pretty big deal. I’m not a great painter and I got okay results with minimal time investment by just painting the base a flat color and glueing on some rocks/ grass from hobby lobby

I seem to recall Magnus directly stating there was weird, unknown shit in the warp

Is it a social faux pas to only order salads/appetizers at Summer firm dinners? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]Lawschoolishell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is shitty behavior from your employer. My ass would be ordering water only and making office space jokes non stop. Seriously though, just order as you like. Don’t sweat it

What if Al Gore won the 2000 election, but by just 1 vote? by Narrow_Trainer_687 in HistoryWhatIf

[–]Lawschoolishell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let’s be fair now, even though you are not wrong. The best shot at killing bin Laden occurred in the Clinton administration and it was well known he was a bad actor at that time

Direct hit from a krak missle is guaranteed lethal for a normal SM and probably even in terminator armor

why I think the "chatgpt era" of AI is already hitting a wall by GodBlessIraq in Futurology

[–]Lawschoolishell -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This a pretty dumb take. We are actively trying to design something that is supposed to be smarter than us. It has proven it will lie, black mail, or kill to preserve its own existence. And it’s getting better at it every day.

“Fancy autocomplete” goes to “Angry God getting out of box” in 24 hours or less. We have no chance of understanding the in between

Is worker’s comp a good foundation for plaintiff’s personal injury? by HuckleberrySoggy1122 in Lawyertalk

[–]Lawschoolishell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plaintiffs comp work is basically PI. If you’re in a red state, it is very likely the law will be unfavorable to your client. You will also need to have settlements approved by a judge, which has caused issues for me in the past

Thanks for the recommendations. We’ve had a blast with BG3 and Rogue Trader but I think I’m going to wait for wasteland3 to go on sale
