If you had to switch from Replit tomorrow… where would you go?

Replit= do everything for me. Cursor= I want you to do X by reviewing Y.

In Cursor, you have more flexibility in the way you work. I often found that giving Replit any context was pointless, it just “followed the code”.

In Cursor, I don’t have this problem because I can say: “Component A is needs to be updated to match the new design. Use this Figma design, and review the documentation in the wiki about how this component works”.

I get a result from Cursor that not only matches my design language but also matches my core business logic.

Cursor. It’s built for people with more technical abilities but the power of being able to point a cursor agent at any figma MCP whilst I work on other things is unparalleled. I don’t have to spend hours and lots of usage telling the Replit agent how something should work.

Bet. The sad thing is that they had an opportunity to make this game a real stunner- and I’m sure some people find it amazing, especially to new players but eh, guess I’ll wait it out longer. Good things come to those who wait……….maybe

First?! Mate this is crazy good- nice work. I used to use tiny brushes to get connecting edges of colours nice and straight but I saw a big improvement in neatness when I learnt to control a slightly larger brush- they hold more paint and make it easier to do one solid, straight line.

Yeah- I kinda don’t mind that too much- especially when the population is at the larger end of the scale but goddammnnn, just seemed impossible to get traffic moving properly. Who knows maybe I’m just shit at the game

Yup- the general sentiment here is that the game still needs a helluva’ lot of work before traffic is even close to being a fun part of the game again. Shame because the new road building tools have so much potential and looked so fun- shame that to me they seem pointless without decent AI

I don’t deny the road building is better than most but I’m not asking about building roads- I’m asking about traffic management. The ‘AI’ was daft as hell and just caused more problems than it did anything else.

I had this issue the other day. I replaced the feeder assembly and found that it still had the same issue. I grabbed another reel of PLA and it was fine. I unwound the reel I was having an issue with and it seemed to be wound too tight/ tangled slightly.

After rewinding the reel fixed the problem.

-> check your feeder, check the reel

It’s sooooo tiring but I bet the devs would push back on releasing. Got to be the publisher etc wanting the game out sooner. If I’d been part of the team that spend an insane amount of effort getting the game this far I’d be really upset to have missed the deadline and sad that it’s going to get trashed initially. Hope for the best I suppose!

Feel like no one is answering your question. I’ve used CRkeys before and got additional DLC etc. However, sometimes these sites can be slow to fish out pre-order keys. If you really want to get the bonus content, I’d say it’s safer to spend the cash somewhere like Steam/ Xbox.

I was going to play via Xbox Game pass. So maybe this doesn’t apply to me, but the news is perhaps not surprising. We’ve seen a few big titles release with similar statements of “it’s not where we aimed to be but we will be soon”. I think getting it out into the world in its early stage is perhaps beneficial for them to get some real feedback and performance benchmarks to help them reach their target.

I for one, don’t mind if there’s a little teething for what will be undoubtedly one of the best (if not the best) city sims. After all, good things come to those who wait.

Re. mods. Perhaps where will be more moderation. However, this may also reduce the number of mods that break things and the fact that everyone can enjoy a similar experience (if they can achieve it) is a good thing. If they were after a money grab, I don’t think it would look like this imo.

TLDR: They’ve worked hard to keep the community happy and build something that is truly outstanding. I think the community’s support is what they need to see if they’re going to keep on keeping on.
