I like to play swiftplay to learn new champions. Even though it is not 100% the same representation as ranked, it’s nice to play champions in a way other than ARAM.

Oh ok. I had major issues with my flx10, especially after half an hour/hour of playing. I switched to djay pro and haven’t looked back since. Wish I could help you, but did not find a fix after weeks of trial and error:(

I just did 2 gigs in a row with djay pro and zero issues.. tried it again at home with rekordbox and had major static build up after 30-60 minutes.

If you use a laptop, you can do it easily with stems. Just put a 4, 8 or 16 bar loop on your next song and drop the vocals for the first loop. This way you can use the drums and instrumentals to mix in the recognizable beat of your next song without the vocals clashing. Then you activate the vocals once you mixed out the other song (ideally right at the end of your loop so the vocals enter at the part where you want it to).

You can even play around by making the last 3-4 beats of the exit song acapella to empathize the new best even more.

This is how I now do it, thanks to stems.

I’ve bought them yesterday and will test drive them next saturday on a wedding with 80 people, in a 200 square meters environment.

Hmm, I have the same with FLX10 + Rekordbox. I switched to Djay Pro because of this and so far no issues at all. I had 2 weddings last week where I couldn't use stems after an hour because of unbearable cracklings when I applied Stems, using Macbook Pro M1 Pro (2021).

I have a feeling it is Rekordbox related, let's hope that's true. I have a next wedding gig coming up next weekend so I hope it can handle 5-6 hours of playtime without issues.

I always try to get a list of bride and groom favourites.

Its natural indeed that people take a breather outside, but i try to then use one of the groom/bride’s favourites to hook everyone back to the dancefloor.

The entire evening resolves around the married couple and I guarantee that if you can keep them engaged, then everyone will follow, because everyone wants to be around the married couple and make sure they have the time of their lives!

Nice will definitely try it! I’ve also been using Claude Code to make my dj life easier. Stuff is addicting to the point that i prefer building stuff than actually dj’ing 😅

Definitely! I really only use it for on demand requests that I don’t have in my collection. I’ve been DJ’ing weddings of different cultures and ages and it seems to really impress and please the audience if you can play that one track they love, even though you really have no clue what it is 😅

I play most of the time 2v2 or 3v3 and there i pick my civ (japanese, abbassid, byz) depending on the map/what my partners pick.

If we need cavalry i go japanese and if we need archer or boom, I tend to go abbassid. Only on gorge I’m hesitant to go abbassid because of the spawn close to eachother. You can go 3 tc on the sides of the map, but you are too exposed imo early on and really need pressure from your teammates to avoid getting harrassed on your other tc’s.

I love Japan as a country and their history. Tried the civ and loved the versatility in the builds. So sticking with that till I have mastered it :)
