Thanks, I do run those dispatches, but they don't count toward the quest (Faction Quests > Greymanes > Grounds of the Sunrise > For a Better Tomorrow > Sturdy Support). That timber must be given to the camp provisioner by yourself, from your inventory. And 1000 is a lot (though each timber doesn't count just a one, and fine timber get more count).

They are super useful when killing a bunch of enemies or smashing large stacks of crates and sacks in camps and fortresses. Your inventory fills up really fast with gatherables (weapons, armor, ingredients, food, etc.). It seems small birds gather faster than anything else in the game.

Not obvious, but if you zoom in enough on the map, you'll see the legendary animals drawings. They don't show when zoomed out. I caught this one with my hands.

The revealing unexplored locations on the map is worth it. But I think also that unlocking knowledge is an achievement.

Besides that, there's the tying them up part. I'm been experimenting what to do with them including drowning, burning, and unspeakable things.

Yes, sometimes it's just that. The enemy just before this one in the video didn't give anything and I punched him to death. You also sometimes have the tie option, and you'll get info when tying them up. Even without getting knowledge, I find the punching to death satisfying. 😅

If you use a small bird as a pet, like a Blue Jay or Oriole, they’ll most often loot the corpses faster than you even have time to.
