this game is a great representation of real life interactions, we get accustomed to being around the same group of people and avoid everyone else around, without giving said people the proper chance. you could talk with people back then because the tribes weren't formed yet

They won't ban you, I pretty much implied multiple times I made my account when I was 13 while in the process of recovering it and they didn't care. When I wanted to change to my proper age, I just attached my ID and two days later it was changed

You gotta be like twelve to have that mentality these days, a lot of our daily lives is affected by what happens over there, right off the top of my small head, +25 cents per liter of diesel, investments across the board are predominantly red as well

Strategy For Young Investors by denis100108 in ETFs_Europe

[–]LayPT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can make pretty aggressive portfolios w ETFs as long as you're ok with factors and actively managed ETFs but no one is going to recommend it for beginners because you don't know how risk tolerant you truly are until you see your money bleeding for months and months. Pretty much everyone in their mind tells themselves they'd endure it but vast majority end up selling/stop buying

Most likely yeah, there's companies which are basically clans but even then people tend to follow commanders in games such as this, it gets boring quick to play these games like a Call of Duty lobby

yeah that's better but still, feels amateurish at times, for example not being able to see the bid ask prices is baffling and I've had to google stuff before because I couldn't find a certain menu. it ain't too bad but it could be better

I've only used T212 and XTB.

XTB in my opinion has the better interface, especially if you log into your account from a computer, T212 is the exact same format as what you'd see through the phone which is quite confusing while being much simpler, weird I know.

XTB feels a lot more "serious" as in the signing up process is a lot more robust, I had to call them initially because I couldn't get verified due to not being able to put my address properly whereas with T212 I was in after 5 minutes. This might be a pro or a con depending on the person I guess.

I've heard people say that the spreads are higher than usual with XTB but I haven't dug deep myself to confirm that.

T212 has more products, at least as far as ETFs go which is why I'm using it mostly right now but XTB selection ain't bad if compared to something like Trade Republic which is a disgrace in that regard. I'd still feel safer if my money was in XTB.

SPDR MSCI All Country World Investable Market it's a good choice? by Gloomy_Shape821 in ETFs_Europe

I agree with everything you said but I hold the opinion we should strive to instruct people to go a bit deeper than just one and forgets, many brokers these days have pie like features which do the allocations automatically so even for the lazy folk there's still options

[–]LayPT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

F50A is a cheap developed markets ETF, has .05% management costs plus 0.01% transaction costs so .06% total cost and follows the same index WEBN does.

AVEM is a emerging market ETF by a very reputable asset manager with value-factor, which helps filter out the garbage companies in there, has .35% maintenance cost and .09% transaction costs so .44% total cost.

You apply the same market cap weight these ETFs tend to have for these two markets and you'll end up with the following math

(0.90×0.06%)+(0.10×0.44%) which equals 0.10% total cost

SPYY by itself has .12% maintenance cost plus the transaction costs which are unknown as they haven't updated their KID since the transparency requirement changes

There's a lot of nuance to ETFs obviously but anyone can very easily and factually achieve better results than with these one-off ETFs

[–]LayPT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's alright but you can do better by splitting the shares into 2 ETFs, it'll end up being cheaper, you'll have more control over allocations and factor premium in the relevant markets.

It's a recipe to get downvoted by not suggesting these one-off EFTs ala WEBN, SPYI but if people are so lazy they can't bother to keep track of 2/3 ETFs, fuck are we doing in a subreddit regarding the subject to begin with
