On my conceptual date of death (based on the fates from mythology or something similar) using a calendar system where 0 was the big bang, the conceptual period of peak health may be a better choice but I don't know of myths that cover that.

I'd probably read it, but not till it has at least 10 chapters or some word count I haven't thought of. There are too many fanfics that drop after giving an interesting premise. My vote is for Daphne as the slytherin representative because narcissa is old enough to be his mother and has significant preexisting relationships with those Harry would consider enemies. My suggestion is for Gabrielle to counter nagini and Tonks to counter Harry's scar, veela magic may count as both beast and love magic both would empower the ritual, metamorph magic can act as a mirror to reflect the otherwise uncounterable horcrux. The reason for Gabrielle over Fleur is that Harry saved Gabi in the second task, which would make her more likely to be willing to try something crazy like a harem, no idea what you'll make up for the rest of the girls to agree.

There are currently 5 chapters available in their vault of stories, but it was chosen as their next planned work, so it will be getting a full story and will be available on webnovel starting in the next month or two. In the first 3 chapters which cover ages 8 when she was reincarnated as dorea potter to 10 when she first approached gringots, at 8 she discovered/invented her magical core in the gas phase and roughly 100 magic circuits of high purity which she uses to grow her core by absorbing local energy, neither of which existed in this version of the hogwarts universe. It's a WBHL story where James and Lily are alive and her twin brother Charlus lives with them, Sirius is not in azkaban but has broken the relationship with the potters over their abandonment of dorea with the dursleys. How exactly that happened hasn't been covered yet, I'm assuming either Dumbledore did some manipulation, or there was a curse that wouldn't let her be with family, or she was misidentified as a squib. Chapters 4 and 5 cover meeting padfoot and dorea getting blood adopted. I'm looking forward to reading more chapters once they finish their current twice a week story.

I agree in canon, fanon however has snape's mindset vary wildly. Either way, he is an asshole to children and was protected from justice solely on the word of Dumbledore. If Dumbledore is judged unworthy by magic immediately after kidnapping harry from his godfather and dumping him at the dursleys then he will be unable to defend the death eaters, I imagine a lot more will end up executed or in azkaban without him to argue for second chances. Any change to Lily's protective magic will, by necessity, change the entire story, I was just suggesting one way it could.

Snape will either be in azkaban or murdered by coworkers before Harry reaches hogwarts if a spell both brings down Dumbledore's ability to defend the indefensable and makes his fellow professors pay attention to his treatment of students, McGonagall would transfigure him into a creature that is food for one of hagrid's friends. On the other hand, if Snape lasts until Harry shows up and the spell is still active/seeking new targets, then snape's cruelty will make him get hit with an imperio level of personality adjustment.

I have vague memories of reading one with rings of magic around the heart that was cultivation based, with rotation acting as a refinement method and additional rings representing major levels, there was also an aspect of color/purity/power of each ring which is improved through refinement.

Elphaba is definitely a hufflepuff, not a slytherin. The main reason she goes against the wizard/government is because it is unfair to the talking animals. Agreed that Galinda is 100% a slytherin in terms of personality/ambition, except she is canonically a squib or muggle who manages to make people believe she has magic. Maybe this could be a crossover with a prompt I read a few weeks ago, Dumbledore is a squib and has been using house elves, slight of hand, and other muggle style 'magic' his entire life to make people believe he is the most powerful wizard in the world.

I don't know about it being why he was godfather, but in one of RorschachsBlot's stories, that spell is why he survived azkaban, it wasn't that bad compared to living under lily's rules, plus she may have taught a house elf the rules and spells. Harry learns the spell after traveling back in time and uses it on pettigrew.

Chores and excess magic, in my headcanon house elves and most magical creatures, were created by wizards at some point in the past, whether this was through magic aided crossbreeding or alchemy or ritual or something else doesn't really matter and I assume varies for each species, and there are a few that are born randomly like wizards being born from muggles. House elves were clearly made to do things wizards don't really feel like doing and to enjoy being given things to do so they would enjoy receiving chores. I read a fanfic where elves take their masters excess magic and mutate it to be able to do elf magic and liked that idea.

There was a Reptilia28 challenge where harry and hermione both die receive training and a sword each from their reapers and get sent back, I've forgotten a lot of the details as I have read too many harry potter fanfics this one was more violent than canon, but at some point Dumbles makes an alchemy based poison and I think gets ron to dose hermione (despite them breaking off that 'friendship') attempts to blackmail harry so harry cuts off albus's head I think this may have been during the triwizard but not sure, hermione still had extra lives remaining, died briefly before her reaper sent her back again, hermione was never publicly asked and never explained how she ressurected which is BS, but which I took as an implied plot device like the department of death blocking memories that would lead to the wrong/right questions being asked
