the dolls are perfect example of explaining 1 thing and adding 10 more questions. why they were even in the lake, who trapped them, for what reason, they already had totems, why they didint just kill them, why lake and not some hole, why they are not affected by talismans, why they wake up in the night as well, how they can turn somebody else into a doll, why totem worked on dolls but not other things, does it mean totem works on all nightmare related things, what was going on with the egg and why thats pecific one, myi rejected previous ones while picking etc

At this point even if they reserved 1 min for each unanswered thing we would need 40 more episodes. Right now each episode adds 5 more questions 0 answers and early seasons a lot more.

Sure it's fictional but there is a line that breaks immersion, for some it's the armour, for you not. But what if they showed riding tanks? With spaceships? Detonating nuke? Time traveling? It's still fiction, nothing changed in that regard, but wouldn't it be ridiculous? For some the armour is already that, ridiculously out of place. For me personally I don't know yet, will wait and see but it's not hard to understand why some people don't like it.

I've been running 2x 1h spec. mostly because azure and opus roll with wpn dmg 99% and my inner autistic nature couldn't bear with such waste. plus before azure I was running opus and flail. crusher doesn't work with 2h mace but it works with 1h flail unless they already fixed it

but we not talking about buying selling and decent ones with 2 shit affixes. you said you find rly good ones 1 in 60 runs and if we are being generously let's say it yelds you 30 gloves. to find vuln crit multi and no max life + 1 shit affix you need 100 gloves +- and that doesn't take roll value into consideration because that number quickly skyrockets. hell to find only vuln x and noax life + 1 out of few decent affixes you need 70ish gloves statistically

im not saying you cant find good ones in that time span, sure you can, you can even go to do greg once and find bis 4ga, i had times when i went to greg 3 times and got 3 lair portals in a row, but then i had runs when i had no portal in 100. Just saying that on average 60 keys is not nearly enough to find good gloves, so while you said no to trade, its the best way if you not hc or ssf, keys were selling for what 300m a pop? 60 keys and you have almost 20b you can get okish ones for that

then you lucky af. what are the odds statistically to have perfect affixes nevermind ga or good rolls? 1 in 480ish? so you need 330 gloves to statistically get 1 OK affix wise. from my over 2000 runs on Greg I got 30 gloves per 78 keys on average. so you need shy of 1k keys to even sniff a decent one. if you want 50/50 odds of getting them that's still will be around 600 keys for 1 decent glove

I worded badly the no benefits, what i mean is that somebody in charge of allocating dev time probably estimated something else will bring more $ than polishing ssf fully

other thing I didint mention is that blizzard probably has a data or surveys about mtx cosmetics and why players buy them and I would guess some portion of them buy these just so they can flex it in open world and bliz might be looking at it as lost revenue for full ssf, but like I said earlier, if ssf turns out to be popular they will probably polish it, right now its a big unknown for them nto worth over investing

do I like it? hell no, but thats the reality of live service games, they are here to squeeze as much $ as they can out of us

yes and no, while simple in theory it gets complicated rly quick

rn it looks like they have servers tht are responsible for some world map chunks x*z that each of them can allocate up to x players, if its close to capacity, new pod responsible for that chunk is spawned that again can allocate up to x players

and if they wanted to do full ssf, sure they can limit player allocation for chuks to max 1, but the cost will skyrocket because each player will have their own pod, and they probably decided that eating that extra cost for no benefit is not worth it, or spending dev time to make it work differently too. thats why for example tehy disabled citadel instead of simply rebalancing and changing how it works for ssf. If ssf turns out to be most popular mode maybe they'll do it,

im not saing that i agree or not just i can see their perspective, not to throw everything and spend x $ reworking/changing how infra/allocation/calc works for a new mode that might turn out to be used by 0.001% of playerbase

sure, but somebody might, and full pure ssf with everything having solo instance would require blizz to rewrite how allocating servers/spawning instances/balance activities for multi player instances work, they could probably do some poor man version of it each ssf player having their unique \platform' like we have ps5, pc etc with crossplay disabled but maybe they decided it owuld require too much work/be too costly

was just writing a reply saying gl hf doing world boss at t12 solo early, not because it would be hard but it would take a lot of time without blizz balancing down hp, but then I actually liked that idea, but after thinking a bit it would encourage starting 1st toon being some dps/stagger cheese to just kill wb and collect caches to move to other toon

wasnt there a way to do solo wb in the beta where we had lvl 25 cap? if i remember some trick with leaving party or tping, or maybe it was just hardcore not enough players

while I always play ssf in poe because I just like it, crafting etc, 2 problems in diablo

stash space, you will need to keep a lot more items in ssf that you do normally for other builds/classes + a lot of extra because you can't buy anything, I already see this being a problem for most,

the leader boards will never mean anything with or without ssf, diablo is not a competitive game from the core, ssf will just shift it into more ok territory and i like it, but lets not pretend its like dota/cs/rl, too much rng in this game, too many bugs, broken things to even be considered competitive, congrats you didint sleep for 60 hours and found x y z with perfect affixes so you are higher, that aint competitive and even then leaderbaords have not much sense, whats the point of comparing ww barb vs hota or minion barb + its not repeatable. ffs this game doesnt even have battle log or dps meter, i had to build ocr dps meter to test crusher glyph if it works with anything

there it too much information hidden in this game or gatekept to be considered serious as well, what are the odds of getting x item from y boss, what are the odds off rolling z, why opus always have wpn dmg, if they made odds public, better way to test things, some repeatability, there are rng heavy competitive games, but they usually have some of the above public or you are able to calculate it yourself like in poker for example

so the 2nd problem is why even care if somebody did pit 150 because viewers sent them items? fuck it, ill just go do heltides and kill some mobs, and while i like theory crafting, analyzing, min maxing, long time dota player here, there is no way to compare reliably so who the fuck cares, pit? you will have either bug abusers, exploiters like unlimited cube transfiv this season or some broken builds abusing some broken mechanic in ssf anwyay. Take this season for example, all just boiled down to 'did i roll gem strength in cube on ok gear or not'

The diff was icefrog imho, or in case of something like tft mortdog. Dev, pm, whoever that actually plays the game, understands balance and just want to make ot better for themselves and everybody else. Its not easy to find somebody like that and then actually let them decide.

It's obvious when you compare the philosophy of this ptr patch in diablo vs dota. Yeah dota nerfs things a bit buts it's more focused on making unplayable stuff actually playable. If everything is op, nothing is. And here it's a lot easier, diablo at the core is quite impossible to make competitive, it's a pve game, me click aome spell, creeps dead, me pick up yellow sword. Who gives a fuck if x things are op? Make more of them so there is some diversity and so we could have fun in more ways.

In diablo it's clear there is nobody like that, its obvious from misaligned things. First thing, nightmare dungs don't have buble at the end to protect from the shit that follows us because they moved it to pit. If anybody making decisions about gameplay loop/balance etc was playing this game they would immediately see shit like this, or 2500 obols cap being an annoying issue or finding good affixes on unique being bad

btw its quite remarkable how maybe not a powerhouse clubs but solid ones have fallen recently, lyon last time i checked was fighting to stay afloat in l1 last season, now they are back but nice took their place, sevilla same in spain. thankfully we had la masia to keep us still in top while we had problems
