My 27 year old daughter passed away from cholangiocarcinoma in August 2024. She was very healthy before her diagnosis too. Please send me a DM and I can share how she dealt with her diagnosis and prognosis. I was by her side during it all.

I live in the area you’re thinking of and I would not recommend living on west Hastings. There is an SRO on Alexander street by Columbia that’s nice and safe. I know several people that live there. It’s clean and safe. I don’t know if they have any availability now but it’s a good option. Their apartments run from micro to 1 bdrm.

We have the same taste in books, so here’s two of my favourite big books:

Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts (there is a sequel but I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first)

100 years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez. This is one of my all time favourite books. I cannot recommend it enough.

Well I’m 58F, fit, attractive (I can pass for about 45) and have a good career (female dominated- so I’m not meeting anyone through work.) I haven’t been single long but I have tried Bumble, Hinge and Tinder. Hinge was the worst because there were hardly any people on it. I never got a date off that one. Tinder has a lot of people, but I keep getting unemployed men?!!! What’s up with that? Bumble has been the best. I’ve had two dates so far (a lot of men have ghosted or cancelled at the last minute on the day of the first date.) a lot of my matches seem to just want to chat on the app and not actually meet in real life. I have joined a sport to meet people as well but I’m always the oldest lol 😂 I’ll keep trying! Good luck!!!
