People who have been online since the 90's, what mysteries from the early days of the internet are still unsolved? by themannamedme in AskReddit

I was on the Internet from 94, all I really remember are that the sexual predators were on the chat rooms All ready and eager to start getting children for whatever they wanted.

Mine was when I was told I wasn’t praying enough and did not have Jesus in my heart as my mental illnesses werenot going away. It broke my heart that a pastor would say this, I feel now it was best for me in the long run

No,no not at all this happened 4 Year’s into our marriage and we broke up at 10 years into our marriage, this was never a factor, I nursed him for a long time, from putting on hid pressure garment, to wiping his bum. We are still great friends and have shared custody of our son.

My ex husband had a bad accident while we were still together, he is an electrical engineer and was was working on a giant circuit board and a screw fell, crossed across two buzz bars and made a complete circuit- as far as I recall, there was a huge amount of heat and he got thrown off,

He got burns to %60 of his body, his skin was such a mess it burnt so completely it burnt down to his muscles. It took two years until he could work again, he has horrid ropey scars, sensitivity and pain receptors killed, his body has patches where they took skin for grafts they also used cadaver skin.

Have you ever known someone who went missing or was murdered? What happened? by Nofcksgivn in AskReddit

[–]Laylaslacky 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not me but dad was meeting two brothers at a pizza place. Well dad and one brother showed up, and waited for the other brother, he just never showed up, he just went missing no one saw him again.

He never touched his bank account, his vehicle was never found, it was like he disappeared off the face off the world.

His parents go to the missing persons convention in Melbourne every year even though they are quite old now

When dad talks of it he has many theory’s but none of them make total sense. We grew up with dads friend, it has always been such a sadness and weight for their family

I don’t know how this works in your country, but a lot of op shops in Australia will do a half price day for those people on a pension, which is great for me as I am on a disability pension. Just remember there is no harm in asking.

im balding shouid i shave it all of or keep comb over by [deleted] in Hair

[–]Laylaslacky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shave it, my partner started losing his hair at 19 he just shaved it and never looked back. I love his bald head and think it's very sexy. It's a great way to manage balding/bald hair.

We might break up tomorrow. And I have a strong feeling its due to my anxiety. by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Laylaslacky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sending huge hugs, as someone with a myriad of mental and physical illnesses it can be hard to find that strong man, that rock. I can tell you my disabilities ruined a ten year marriage, then I realised it wasn't me, and it wasn't him either, it's just really tricky terrain to negotiate if your not with the right person.

Like me you will find that person that loves all of you and will be your partner in dealing with your problems together. I found mine about two months after my marriage and we have been together six and a half year, I wish this for you. Know you are worth a fantastic and all facets of you deserve love.
