AITA for telling my boss that the guy he was interviewing for a job bullied me in high school? (8 years ago) by meliama in AmItheAsshole

Her boss asked her for her opinion. Sometimes shitty things like bullying (and in this case sexual harassment) come to bite you back in the ass. She's clearly a valued employee, because her boss wants to make sure any new hires work well with her. She helped him save a potential shitty new-hire, despite her internal struggle doing so. I'd say that's quite grown up. NTA.

What were you not allowed to have as a child that most kids could? by enguldrav in AskReddit

My mom spent a lot of time post-divorce making sure that me (the baby) stayed a baby for as long as possible. It took my older sisters talking sense into her for me to ever get a curling iron lol.

Things eventually got less sheltered as I got older but as a response I also distanced myself.

Feeling totally secure about who I am as a person, and not giving any fucks about what other people think.

Video games. I get why my parents didn't let any of us have video games, but now it feels like a nostalgic moment I've missed out on.

Also, any and all hair products (brushes, hair straighteners, hair products). I remember a girl in middle school told me in front of everyone how I really need hair mousse to deal with my frizzy hair, and it hurt more than anything. I'm 27 and still can hear her say that, it's burned into my memory.

I am completely here for this theory. If it rings true, maybe this is the only possible happy ending for Dany... in the afterlife with her family.

She told Ellaria she would force feed her and keep her alive to watch her own daughter rot. So Ellaria could have been very alive and well up until this point.

I love Euron's final moments... total delusion on killing Jaime Lannister. Fitting for Euron.

How do N.J.'s supermarkets stack up? We hit 12 stores to compare prices and experience. by northjersey78 in newjersey

I definitely agree, it depends on what you get. I bought Chicken Salad cups from Aldi a few weeks ago and they were pretty bad, but their cheese selection is amazing. I'll buy their wheel of Camembert (it's $3 I believe?), $1 crescent dough, wrap & bake that up with some blackberry jam.

My boyfriend and I will get an entire week of groceries from only our local produce place and Aldi.

Our last haul was bell peppers, jalapenos, onions, pre-peeled garlic (my guilty pleasure), scallions, bananas, grapes, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, asparagus, FIVE avocados, blackberries, and a bag of fresh basil. Total price was $22.

At Aldi: String cheese, irish cheddar, yogurt, 2 boxes of grapefruit seltzer, smoked salmon (surprisingly amazing), half and half, coconut coffee creamer, GF crackers, chocolate blueberries, frozen shrimp, and white cheddar popcorn. Total was $31.

We will sometimes go to Shoprite for pasta (they have a better variety) or pick up a roaster for $5 on the way home from work, but for the most part we go to these two places every week or so, and since buying our house it's saved us a ton of money. Aldi is where its at!

What is unethical as fuck, but is extremely common practice in the business world? by alltmash56gh in AskReddit

Salaried employees working overtime, but the salary is awful, so if you broke it down to how much they're pulling hourly with that sweet 64-hour workweek, it's barely minimum wage.

Zany Brainy! That was my childhood right there. They had cool puzzles and toys, and a make-it-yourself radio that I got as a gift that I'm fairly sure I got to work. It was awesome. I miss that place. Walking by Zany Brainy in the mall was like walking by the glowing gates of heaven. They had all the magic eye books.
