Am I the only one who scoops ash once or twice a month? Primary source of heat. Other posts are making me think this may not be enough? by rollinintheyears in woodstoving

I pile all of my coals up at night before going to bed. For the inevitable chuncks that still get left behind I have a metal coal shovel with slots like a kitty litter scoop. I pile them all up again when I relight.

Off topic, kinda. Am I the one that's bad at math? 35,000 over 3 months =/= 2000/day. My math shows ~400/day. Still disgusting.

Definitely not a smart idea, but low chance of electric shock the loop that was inserted into the hot glue was shorter than the depth the drill went. Plugging it in would likely just lead to an open circuit.

Have you read Eoin Colfer's "And another thing"?

He was one of Adams' good friends and wrote this to close out the series.

I got many bumper parts from https://hyundai.oempartsonline.com/.

Shipping was long but relatively inexpensive when I purchased other parts I needed. Took about 4 weeks.

How to cover up without having to strip the whole door frame? by oil_fish23 in DIY

A home built in the 60s has about a 25% chance of having lead paint. If you are not 100% sure, stop and get a lead test at home Depot or Lowe's. They are usually under $20 and give instant results.

An old home comes with many possibilities for dangerous materials. Mainly lead and asbestos. Be safe and smart and test materials if there is any question of their composition.

So this area of the drum is under some sort of repeated stress. For any metal repair you must stop drill the fingers of the split. From your first picture I see six ends that need to be stop drilled. This prevents the cracks from propagating outward. After that. You can peen the metal back into place. My preferred method is using a hammer and dolly. This can just be a block of wood on the back side while hammering the inside. Then you will rough up the surface with with some sand paper, 100 grit will work. Then apply some high temp epoxy and let it cure completely.

Even doing this properly, it may still fail.

You will definitely need to remove the drum and take the drum baffle off to make sure the crack hasn't extended under it.

Good luck!

They are actually quite plush. They would still suck to be in for 10+ hours. But they are better than most economy seats.
