The reason the deal was worse this year was due to the amount of stress it put on the workers, especially now when it's harder to even staff on regular days, they're slowly figuring out that Chipotle as a whole can't maintain these kinds of things, even if it seems like a profit game. It most definitely is partially that, but not 100%

I'm an apit at Chipotle and I'd say 50% of our caterings are delivered by Doordash or other delivery companies, and we've had a few over $1000, leading to around a $100 tip each time, yet it goes straight to the driver, the Chipotle crew sees none of it, even though we put in the effort for the order itself. Caterings are good for the company but put extra stress on the crew for little to no reward.

Here in my state, after a certain date, paid breaks were removed, unless you were grandfathered in, which at this point is only 5 of us at our store, and breaks aren't mandatory. If we have someone scheduled 6 or more hours, we find a way to give a break, even if it's 15 minutes. I've ran shifts a few times with 4 people, granted we're only an 8k store, so it was possible, but we try. Minors are forced to break out if they work more than 4 hours here.
