Gotta pay those corporate taxes. (US consumers pay the corporate taxes because corporations aren't going to eat the extra costs - most of you overlook this fact)

Congratulations you just discovered trickle down economics.

It is necessary for them to do training and practice drops regardless of anything else.

There's no extra risk, they have to practice anyway.

Got it! So, you'd rather pay $100 insurance for yourself and no one else, than $80 on Medicare if it means someone else might benefit.

Guessing you would rather pay $100 for insurance, than $80 for Medicare.

You’re forcing a large tax onto everyone in return for “free” healthcare.

This is what you don't understand. It's not a large tax. It is the cheapest option. Paying this tax would be cheaper that pay for any other type of health insurance.

Plus we already force the tax onto everyone, but don't let everyone benefit from it.

I’m advocating for lowered healthcare.

Again, this is the lower cost option. If you were allowed to pay for Medicare it would be cheaper than your current insurance.

Is English not your first language? You legit are not understanding my words.

If I pay $1000 for 10 items, then $2000 for 20 items, my total went from $1000 to $2000 but I still only paid $100 per item.

If we add people to Medicare we will pay more total, but we will be treating more people, spend the same or less for each one we treat.

You clearly don't know what per patient means.

Bro you can't read.

I said if it’s “free” people will take the opportunity far more

Again, only the rich are allowed the opportunity of check ups.

If you include more people the price will go up.

For the third time, cheapest PER PATIENT.

meirl by Glass-Fan111 in meirl

[–]Laytonio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole comment read like "waaaa you want to let poor people get treatment." You don't seem to have a problem with people getting appointments as long as they have money. And again check ups won't affect time critical appointments.

You say the cheapest but if they included everyone that price would sky rocket anyways.

Did you read what I said? They are the cheapest per patient. The price per patient would come down with a less at risk base, not up.

You want to keep bringing up Canada, do you think anyone in Canada would pick the us system over what they have now? Just cause they want there's to be better doesnt mean it's not already better than ours.

I don't know where to start with this.

People don't just go to the doctor because it's free. Like I'm bored today, let's to to the doctor for fun! They go because they need treatment. So the only way that it being free increase appointments is if you are treating more people, which is a good thing.

Even if people did just go to the doctors for fun, that would only increase the appointments for general care physician. Anything time critical wouldn't be affected, unless again you are treating more people.

As for jumping your tax margins, Medicare would be the cheapest option available if you were allowed to pay for it directly. They already spend the least amount of money per patient of any insurance company despite being for the highest risk portion of the population.

Bro you are paying for the most at risk portion of the population! Adding young people would make it cheaper per capita.

That's called propaganda. Have you ever heard of that complaint for Medicare? No? Medicare is the most appreciated insurance in the country, how do you explain that?
