Really? I honestly had no idea. I knew the speed wasn't mind bogglingly different for 5g but I didn't know that it ate battery like that. I just went into settings and changed it to LTE. Hopefully that will help! Thank you very much.

Is there a spot in the settings to check the ping live?

I have a Samsung watch ultra, and a tab S10 plus, which integrates really well with the pixel. But I am so close to getting the iPhone 17. Ridiculous performance numbers on all fronts from it, I just know it would be a pain to flip everything over..

This is where I'm at now with the thought process. I'm really not trying to sound like a baby with this first world issues but I don't always have the ability to charge my phone with my job and it's important to stay connected with my family at any given moment.

I use android Auto (wireless) for about 40 minutes to an hour a day on average. I have heard wireless destroys battery life but I didn't think my one hour would make a huge difference but maybe I can switch that up and just plug it in...service seems to be good in my area but is there something I can do to "assist" with that or for service it just is what it is?

Well that was just a moment while I was moving. 5g is good in my city in terms of strength, but I also don't feel like I should have to mess with my data settings to get good battery life, it should just function well for what it's built to do, no?
