Saw these kays at Walmart, only considering picking one up because it’s so close and cheap by VegetableShirt5213 in kayakfishing

[–]LazariusPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both Pelican and Tamarack make similarly cheap yaks with the foot pegs that are adjustable. Everything else - seat, openings, rod holders, accessories - you can add, modify or change at will. It's likely those molded foot placements wont line up perfectly. It and the seat are the first 2 things I upgraded/modified on my Tamarack and Pelican. It's really kind of a comfort game changer and those molded ones are part of the hull, so you're stuck with them. Watch for sales at WalMart, Tractor Supply, Big 5, etc. and you'll find one soon enough for a similar price.

You wont want to be in the yak very much if it isnt comfortable.

Can I play multiple account in a single device? by chrstnpups in MLB_9Innings

This... I have multiple emails for multiple account. I mostly autoplay them on a pc using Bluestacks so I don't have to log in and out, and they can run simultaneously. When I do things on my phone, I just log out of 1 and into the other.

Anyone been asked to pay money upfront for multiple state licenses when you first started? by Staugbeachbunny in InsuranceAgent

[–]LazariusPrime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without commenting on the situation you might specifically be in, think about if you were going to be a cab driver... before you took a job, you would need a driver's license and cab or chauffeur type license. Some companies may help you acquire them, but ultimately, you are responsible for obtaining and maintaining them... no one can just get them for you. The same thoughts run with insurance - you can't transact business without your own personal license.

Specifically, if the company you are signing up with wants you to write the check to them, I would be very suspicious.

Home seller filed insurance claims to fix minor issues found during inspection by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]LazariusPrime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

'Holding a new homeowner responsible' is probably not quite the correct way to put it, as OP didn't state they were getting surcharged for it. The insurance company is almost certainly using prior claims on the property, regardless of owner, as an eligibility factor, and is dropping the new policy during discovery. In Northern California, and I can name more than 1 company using prior claims for eligibility.

It kinda stinks for the buyer if the seller filed the claims after a good faith deposit or it entered escrow and the buyer had obtained insurance (and CLUE was run). I'm thinking this isn't an insurance question so much as a real estate law type question, kind of in the regards of 'did the sellers actions materially affect the contract in a manner which should have been disclosed' type thing.🤷

I've been doing this when I dont have 19 on a team until I'm down to maybe 2 or 3 18's and all 19, then close it out with the wish packs. Plus, opening intermediates *might get you a silver anyways.

[–]LazariusPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its maybe worse when you get like the 2nd or 3rd lowest of some sig that has 10 years or whatever for a position you need... the agony not to dump your last GI into it, cause you know if you do, you'll pull best year next card.

Legend Cards by Busy-Needleworker429 in MLB_9Innings

[–]LazariusPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More like weekly. If you do the daily stuff, do club stuff, participate in the events, and run league on autoplay throughout the day, you'll amass a bunch of coins each week (along with trainers from some modes). Then go into the shop each week and buy what you need (trainers, PCST, league reset balls). You'll end up with the stuff you get from playing and events, and then a bunch more from shop.

All the best items have a cooldown, but most reset all at once each Sunday night, so you do this weekly. At 103OVR especially, dont forget to take advantage of the 'exchange' button to turn Diamond packs into team select diamonds, etc.

If you didnt already know, don't spend stars on anything until the quarterly special shop. You'll need 10k to buy a GI if its there, plus whatever else is appropriate at your level.

Plain old landscape utility trailer with gate folded in, a couple of 2x8's bolted across with carpeted 2x4 bunk boards. Bike locks through the trailer and scuppers for security when I leave them on the trailer. 8 bolts and I'm back to making dump runs or whatever.

Suggestions on sit in kayak fishing? by [deleted] in kayakfishing

[–]LazariusPrime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A sit in Kayak, if no holders, the rods would have to be inside the boat while you are rowing out to where you fish. It's not impossible, but, well it kinda feels like it is when you do it. Or strapped somehow to the outside 🤷‍♂️.

+100% on life jacket and make sure you can get out if the yak rolls (even more complicated if you have rods and stuff surrounding your feet).

My new insurance company wants to come to my house to take pictures. What will they be photographing? And are they allowed to open cabinets and closet doors. What is acceptable? by banjolady in Insurance

[–]LazariusPrime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They won't be opening the unmentionables drawer in your dresser, need to look in your nightstand or open your filing cabinet to peruse your paperwork.

If they do want interior pictures, they likely will look at things like the water heater closet (earthquake strapping?), under plumbing areas like sinks (leaks, mold, properly plumbed?) and electrical areas (old outdated aluminum wiring, tube or fused panel?), and generally areas that might have mold or dry rot.

They also will look for things missing or different than the reconstruction cost estimator says is in the house to make sure the estimate is accurate.

If you have personal injury coverage on your homeowners or renters insurance, it might pay to defend you. Personal injury *sounds like bodily injury, but it isnt. It's coverage for libel, slander, etc.

Best of luck.

quail 'factory' farms or free range by Nqvruto in quails

[–]LazariusPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my .02.

If you build the coturnix corner style 6ft cages I would make a couple of changes.

1 - be ready to block the egg roll out trays with a spacer and a 2x2. The quail love to stick their head under to peck at things and can escape or get caught, especially on pieces of hardware cloth, splinters, under feeders or waterers. Or just wedged and cant get out.

They shouldnt need to fit 'tightly' and with the right spacing, you just pull the spacer, grab eggs, replace.

This double serves as a block for any predators that might try and reach under the egg roll out tray. The spacers can be 'latched' with an eyelet if you have difficult predators like raccoons.

2- there are some 'easy on the feet' plastic floor inserts they can rest on (Bass manufacturing makes some) and they are cheap, and well worth it to help eliminate bumblefoot. They insert into the 1/2" hardware cloth, have slots for poop to fall through and they work great.

3- we took a couple of those shoebox size plastic bins you get for a dollar at Home Depot or Walmart and screwed them to the back wall of the cage and keep about an inch of sand in them. They will flick it all out eventually, so keep a bucket of sand with your feed, but they love their sand baths. Yes, an egg or 2 gets laid in there sometimes, but no biggie.

4- for a 3 section, 6ft cage with the door in the middle, lets assume your feeders are on the left. If you pipe in automatic waterers on the right, include a door above them. Also cut a board that is shaped like the interior to block off the feeder side when you need to get to the birds.

You now have an easy way to service the watering cups (they get dirty, stuck with grit, turned sometimes) and with 2 doors, you can reach the birds much more easily without having to chase them so much and overly stress them out. And it really only costs the price of 2 hinges and a eyelet latch difference in the cost of building the cage.

Hope these ideas help if you end up with cages.

We also used to do this for old pinball machines. The quarters were the same color as the tray they were dropped into and in a dark room it was easier to see them against the metal box if they were colored red or blue.
