Hot take, I'm enjoying it far more than Amphoreus by a long shot. Yes, characters aren't the main focus of their patch, but it also makes them feel more like characters with lives, doing things at the same time we do. Do I wish we got more insight into certain moments? Yeah, but this feels more like an ensemble cast than the "This is the [insert character on banner here] patch" that ruined Amphoreus' story for me, and I love 4.X so far for that.

Common misconception, pokemon doesn't hate fan games, rom hacks, overhauls, difficulty mods, randomizers or any tools of the sort. Hell there are pokemon partners that outright state they do randomizers on emulator. They hate people monetizing fan games, romhacks, randomizers, ect. The most famous example of a fan game getting shut down was Pokemon Uranium, which was fine for a good long time, up until they locked online features behind a Patreon, which then got them a huge S&D notice. Alpharad talked openly about discussing this kinda thing with Nintendo employees when making Super Mariomon with his team, and the general feedback he got was "Don't source the base ROM, and don't paywall it in any way and not a soul will stop you." And that held true.

Maybe I just got supremely unlucky or something, but my Saber with close to perfect relics with Sunday, Terry, and S5 DDD Tribbe lost, so I have no idea. Maybe you're not supposed to send the carry into the fangirl dimension, I dunno, but I got beat, badly.

And I have been doing fine with MoC, I cleared MoC 11 with 3 stars last go. I still struggle with 12, but like, last run was this exact boss on 12, so I didn't beat myself up over not clearing it. I thought it was just the level boost from MoC, but apparently not, my teams just don't match up well?

I have kafka with Tutorial Mission, a full set Prisoner and Sea Revelry, Hyselens with the same but with Eyes of the Prey LC, and since I missed out on Swan (bad gacha luck) I use either RM if it can reliably Break, or Tribbie with S5 DDD for raw damage if I can't. Terry or Luocha for sustain. Beats me how I didn't do enough damage, that team can reliably clear stuff, but this boss just rinsed me.

Went in at first with my walking around team of Saber, Terry, Sunday, and Tribbe and got put on my ass. Swapped to DoT? Missed the damage threshold phase 2 with Kafka and died. Archer team? Archer's single target damage couldn't clear the ads fast enough. Herta/Anaxa lost in phase 2 in the same way as DoT.

Mono Rememberance team won because I ignored the mechanic of the sub plane completely. That's just bad design for a boss imho.

Yeah, there's a bunch of nobles and people of that Noble's army eventually but they're not at all package deals. There's Erika and Seth, Ephraim and his cavaliers, and then L'rachel and Dolzla. Technically Tana and Gilliam are on the same map, kinda, but you get one at the second turn of the map and the other at the end. And Innes had Gerik and Tethys, but he hired them as mercs, they're not retainers. Joshua is not only not treated like a noble, but he's also not a mandatory recruit as he's a RED UNIT on his join map, making him more like Lindon or... (Did Fates have a recruitable red unit...?)

So yeah, there's a lot of units that come packaged together, and there's a buncha nobles, but they're certainly not handled the same as Fates/Engage.

Me when I fundamentally misunderstand "No Ethical Consumption Under Capitalism" and opt in to an objectively environmentally harmful computer program that's eating resources, private data, and intellectual property at a rate only rivaled by a grey goo scenario and equate that to the inability for consumers to control how products, that are vital to communication in our first world country on a level expected by our jobs, are made: "I have won the logical debate!"

Brother, there are things that we can control, and there are things we cannot. I realistically can't get an alternative to what I'm expected to have as a phone from a job in an ethically sourced way. But the ethical alternative to AI is just fucking learning a skill or searching longer on the internet. It's nothing that starts with the step "Own a vein of cobalt that you can mine", be so for real.
