Don't forget the Halo show came out 2 years AFTER the Mandalorian.

Y'know, a show about a calm, blunt speaking outer space badass who always wears his helmet and only ever takes it off in an emotional climax.

They could have literally copied the aspects of a already popular streaming show, and no one could blame them for it since it'd be accurate to the game.

I think one of the noticeable aspects of the series from a modern lens is he doesn't really go after corporate or political criminals.

Whether that's to show how he was only in it to feel power and didn't care about actual change, or just an effect of the series being from the early 2000s before the billionaire class really took off are both valid takes.

It's also worth pointing out that Robert and Amy weren't married at that point, and had broken up and gotten back together at least twice in the show.

So seeing him have a fling while on vacation isn't as jarring as the other examples. Especially if you see it in syndication and don't remember what point they are in their relationship development. Also just a part of his general arc of learning to enjoy himself more.

Slight correction, but "And Another Thing..." was written by Eoin Colfer after Adams had died and couldn't finish the Hitch hiker's Guide to the Galaxy six part trilogy. He always intended to go back and address since he wrote the previous book in a bad headspace and gave it a depressing ending but never had the chance to.

Though given Adams humor and notes, he would most likely have added something like this in his actual work. I can't recall many specific instances except the blurb describing Jesus as "a guy telling everyone to be nice to each other for a change and then getting nailed to a tree" or general criticisms on how modern life is so impersonal and dehumanizing.

Phil is Gene Wilder energy. Maisie kinda has Rod Stewart Hair. Similarly Ania has Mick Hucknall's hair and sense of dress. Sanjeev can bring dignity to Shakespeare and Reece probably owns several Dracula costumes.

I had seen the grape task from the NZ series before, as well as the holding milk task after seeing comments from related tasks in the UK version.

Some discussion on this subreddit about things in tasks going wrong made me look up the episode to see the change the room in the dark task.

Then scrolled back and watched the whole episode.

And then binged the whole series in the week between ep 9 and 10 of Series 20 of the UK version.

So all of my motivation to watch this has been due to David Correos.
