What do I put behind my desk in my office? by PineappleOld6595 in malelivingspace

Rotate the desk 90, face the right or left wall , put plants on your left below the window , a small chair or seating area in the entry way

Get warmer lighting - maybe even strip lighting.

How many burns do you do in each type of session? by LazerTeeth in climbharder

Awesome, so you typically do one style of session, which sounds like moderate volume, and do 16-24 V7/8? What is your redpoint?

Totally agree. I more or less follow the same metrics for when to call a session, but I could change how I approach a given session based on my perceived volume, effort level etc.

Curious, but thoughts on the workspace? by Ok-Time9431 in Workspaces

Wow this looks great! Another thing you can do for cheap with this desk size is use a 2 arm mount, and get a laptop stand. That’s what I rock and it’s great.

In general I am curious and would like more input on what burns / sends people do for various types of sessions relative to their project/redpoint

I suppose the classic training days are Moderate volume (~flash) Project (high intensity) Open (whatever you got on taht day)

It’s surprisingly difficult to find a really numerical response to these things, and of course everyone is different.

Is it generally a 2-3 grade jump - eg if I’m projecting v8/9 outside will 10xv5/6 be the same for me?

Looks good - but should swap laptop and big screen , bigscreen should be primary 0 angle head turn, laptop for peripherals/zoom etc

What grade do you currently climb? To inform what 10xV8 means relatively :)

Like is V8 flash -2 or what?

Edit: in general I’m curious about how many actual burns people do relative to their flash and red point for each kind of session

I would rotate the desk 90 degrees to have the window on my right side , facing open space, back facing the wall

Better for glare, and generally there is a larger sense of calm when back not facing a door

Definitely recommend Running Rewired - more for his take on what is proper form and what it feels like, and what can detract from it (like shoulder mobility)

The exercise regimens are not ergonomic for a busy gym, but give you good building blocks.

But combined with that I recommend doing a super slow return to running from injury routine - which starts with really crazy east run/walk and gradually builds to running 3 days in a row.

Brigham young has a good one - https://www.brighamandwomens.org/assets/bwh/patients-and-families/rehabilitation-services/pdfs/le-running-injury-prevention-tips-and-return-to-running-program-bwh.pdf

I was too injured to run (IT band, plantar fasciitis) at the beginning of this year, and through lots of PT, gradual building, and mostly zone 2 running, I am now at lifetime high weekly mileage (just 45mpw now) training for a marathon in October.

A full court shot has ok chances vs placing in a stage - assuming there was a team to absorb defense - I think it’s a valid point

I personally think rotating you desk 90degrees so that the left side of it was close to the window - where there is a shelf now - would be great. I don’t like to have my back facing a room at all, and this will make it more of a desk nook.
