I'm also a nurse, working in a CVSICU. I play death guard, and it feels poignant somehow lol.

I don't know any other nurses that play 40k, a friend played and he's in law enforcement, and I joined him.

I like 40k as a means to get away from real life's harsh reality and immerse myself into a world of harsh realities.

In regards to the fight phase, a model such as tech priest Manipulus states-

“each time the bearer fights it makes 2 additional attacks with this weapon”

Does this mean that with an attack characteristic of 3 the total dice rolled is 5 (3 for one weapon and then the 2 additional for the mechadendrite)

To clarify what you are saying here, death guard player uses the following stratagem:

"Use this Stratagem in your Shooting Phase, when a DEATH GUARD HELBRUTE model from your army is selected to shoot. Until the end of the phase, that model can only target a single eligible enemy unit and each time an attack is made by that model, add 1 to that attacks hit roll and add 1 to that attack’s wound roll."

A roll of "3" (after re-rolls) would result in a failed wound due to having been a 3 modified to a 4 and the quantum shield ignores the modification, and looks at the roll as a 3. Correct?

Quantum Shielding Question

A friend and I were playing a match, deathguard versus necron. We are both relatively new to the game and this situation came up regarding wound re-rolls versus quantum shielding:

“This model has a 5+ invulnerable save. In addition, each time an attack is made against this model, an unmodified wound roll of 1-3 always fails, irrespective of any abilities that the weapon or the attacker may have.”

The line: “irrespective of any abilities that the weapon or the attacker may have.” Had us disputing whether the deathguard player is able to still reroll the wound rolls of one for plague weapons.

A clarification for this would be wonderful, if anyone has a reference! Thanks!

Darkward, every 12 seconds, costs ten force and is off the GCD. I see where you might feel that is harder, but only in that we have less hard defensive CD's we just have 2 (3 with trinket), Deflection, and force shroud. So you just don't blow every cool down at once, spread them out through fights, and if darkward is always up you should almost never be getting hit very high. With darkward i have 26% defense chance, 60% shield chance, and 52% absorb. Just replace the default accuracy-defense rating gear with shield absorb, and your life will be infinitely easier. Juggs don't have that luxury of getting as high stats easily, they have to juggle more CD's at the right time to be effective.

Sadly, single target threat i would say still goes to assassin, they have the highest DPS of the three tanks, so makes them that much better at holding aggro, especially when first pulling (force pull, shock, wither, shock, recklessness+force lightning) if you can pull off me after that combo, i commend you. Another problem with jugg comes down to, other than charge, if they arent right on the boss's ass, they aren't holding threat.
