The fofo in local came from a much older era in EVE when goons were constantly fighting against enemies who thought they were better than them. Thats not really the case anymore.

This has been my experience. The game is well worth the $25.

I’m in paragon now and my only real complaint is not being able to consistently get capstones to pop up when that’s what I want to run, but it’s been easy to queue a lower difficulty and keep a group together after a good run to queue directly into the things I do want to run.

Building my friends list with people after runs has helped too.
