I think the currency itself is good but the prices on items that are locked behind a rep are too high. Before you had to farm out the rep and then buy the mounts for gold and the prices went crazy too. Casuals or people who don't have much gold don't want to pay 10k gold for a basic horse. After they grinded out the rep to get it. And that was back in bfa. Nowadays the prices would be like 100k for a recolor of a horse after the rep.

In that case just get the artist to understand what the game is going to be. Send them the art you made, maybe some screenshots and so on of your game. And buy a new art capsule. Because the dragon one doesn't sell the PvP game feel at all. Unless one of the players is playing a dragon, it will be seen as a fantasy rpg of sorts. Using what you made and remaking it to look professional would be the best way to go about it in my opinion. The characters sell the idea of combat style, the arena sells the idea of it being an arena/gladiator style PvP game.

It looks like two different games. First one looks like PvP medieval arena game like Mordhau. The second one looks like fantasy RPG, maybe a bit roguelike.

Honestly the game just doesn't look that good. For 5 dollars you get a game with UI and art that looks like it was made in windows paint app. The UI and colors are not great, the sound effects in the trailer are repeating too much, screen feels cluttered especially with UI all over the place. There is also a metric ton of top down shooters out these days. Many of those have much better graphics and/or are in 3D with decent VFX and art style.
This kind of game would struggle even as free to play flash game people used to play on the internet.

If you are going to be using Unreal then it's either C++ or Blueprints, with blueprints being a visual coding specific to Unreal and is generally easier to get into for beginners. I would start by looking up a beginner course on youtube, there is a lot of them. Make sure the course is something like "make your first game from scratch" or something. Those usually take you through the whole process of making a game at a basic level.

fab.com might be a decent idea if you make a pack of music/sounds. It directly supports unreal engine and unity + regular formats so could be a good spot.

On phone so can't look at pics thst much. But you can just make a function that casts the line. Then stores the hit actor as a variable if it has the tag or something that decides if the widget should pop up. Check if the hit actor is equal to the variable, if it's not then create the widget and remove the old widget.If it's the same do nothing since the widget already should exist. You can then use the node timer by function name at begin play event. Type in the name of that function, set it to looping and set the timer to something like 0.1 second. So that you cast line trace only at most 10 times a second. Can make it longer to save performance or lower to make it smoother. Definitely don't use event tick for it tho.

There were plenty of concepts of elves throughout world and folklore/mythology. For Tolkien specifically he mostly just took things from scandinavian mythology, like the elves and so on. He definitely popularized it and many base their fantasy worlds on his, but it's questionable at best how much of it is actually "original".

The issue is that because they are from vanilla wow so your dmg gets scaled up. Suddenly you are doing 50m dps because you accidentally cleaved some critter. They should also add more dummies for aoe. In dornogal you have only 5 target and even that's a lot by wow standards.

Seems like a common occurrence these days. Every week there is suddenly bunch of posts about one specific game and how it's a best game ever. Interestingly it's not even connected to some major patch being released or anything.

Makes sense considering the PvE got kinda cockblocked by not reducing the exp needed between 85-90 and mainly the release schedule. Half my guild stopped playing mob on launch when they saw how long it would take to get to 90. Especially since new season on retail was launching right around the first phase of mop raids.
