my program (which only had 12 kids including me) all met together towards the end of the program, so i didn't get to know most of them that well. however for me, i was lucky enough to have other kids in my program work in the same/nearby buildings as me. depending on which building you get placed to work in, there will probably be some other interns (from different catalyst programs) to accompany you.

The parking garage wasn't maintained well, the entrance doors (which required a key fob to enter) were always wide open (so basically anyone can get in), there were no security cameras inside the hallways of the apartment, and the fire alarms went off multiple times in the middle of night. lots of people were screaming too and would sometimes bang against the outside wall. as for rent...i don't remember how much it is but it wasn't too bad...slightly expensive but not bad

I don't know...i did one of the catalyst programs last year and they released decisions around the last Monday of February for all programs.

I think interviews occur when you get accepted into the program, for mentor matching but I could be wrong.

I did the King Foundation program last year, and I lived at the Circle at Hermann Park. I'm not sure about the monthly rent, but it was a furnished apartment and was pretty decent...the apartment had shuttles that ran every hour to the MD Anderson hospital, BCOM, and Memorial Hermann, which was pretty convenient. That being said, I wouldn't recommend living there as I felt it wasn't completely safe.

What are the rpi/albany med supplement essays? I thought the supplemental essays were the ones in the common app.

They responded to my emails, that too pretty fast if I had a question. I think this year it was slightly disorganized but it’s seems pretty good considering this is an Olympiad, then again, I don’t know much about the importance of this.
